2020 was the peak of their relationship.
During early 2020, things didn't go so well because of the pandemic. The two were disappointed because their upcoming projects got cancelled because of the severe cases of COVID-19 which led to a quarantine.
BTS recently had a new song called "ON" and all of the members were excited to perform on different shows and attend different programs with ARMY. Sadly, all of it was cancelled because of the quarantine caused by COVID-19, leaving the members distressed.
Jimin was distraught. Their hardships, practices, everything went to waste because of the lockdown. Namjoon, Jin, Yoongi, Hobi, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook all cried because their blood, sweat and tears were put to nothing because of the virus. They felt as if their efforts as a group were in vain. He was still in the States, preparing for their new performance when the government announced a lockdown. Him and the other BTS members were still in a hotel they were staying in. They were all scared and worried for their families and their own safeties too. His mind was instantly filled with thoughts of Rosé. How is she? Is she safe?
Three days later, their manager told them that they'd go back to Korea in their homes for their own safeties. But, also, they're supposed to undergo a COVID test first before the airport allows them to board their flight to avoid the further spread of the virus. But, the COVID test takes 15 days for them to know the result.
During those 15 days, he wanted nothing but to see her, to feel her warmth, to feel the comfort he always sought in her, and to hear her sweet, melodic voice.
They only communicated through text because they're not allowed to go out just yet. They needed to wait for the test result.
He felt as if a void was left in him within those two weeks. Something felt missing. Mere texting makes him feel some sort of comfort but seeing her personally just hits so differently.
After two weeks, the test result finally came and they're headed into Korea tomorrow. He was more than excited to board that flight back into his hometown, Korea. Everything just felt so unreal and he needed time to process everything, and the best way to do so is rest home. Korea.
Later on, they boarded the flight to Korea. For him, the flight was excruciatingly long and he wanted nothing more than to be in her arms again.
Several hours later. He landed in Incheon Airport, Seoul, Korea. His exhaustion was beyond words but his excitement was more palpable.
Meanwhile
Rosé was peacefully making food for his arrival. She had missed him too beyond words. She's more than excited for his arrival, to be in his arms again.
She was suddenly caught off guard by the vibration of her phone.
