------------

As the months went by, Heeseung and Jake's friendship continued to blossom, leaving the entire campus in awe. The unlikely duo was inseparable, and their bond grew stronger with each passing day.

One sunny afternoon, the four musketeers were engaged in a heated debate about who was the best basketball player among Heeseung, Sunghoon, and Jay. Jake, however, was distracted by Heeseung's presence on the court. He couldn't help but notice the way Heeseung's sweat-drenched hair curled slightly at the nape of his neck or the way his eyes sparkled with determination as he played.

Jake felt a flutter in his chest, a sensation he couldn't quite explain. He had been experiencing these feelings for a while now, but he was hesitant to acknowledge them. He knew what it could mean, but he was unsure if he was ready to confront his emotions.

The trio noticed Jake's gaze lingering on Heeseung, but they decided to address it later when they were alone. For now, they just exchanged knowing glances, intrigued by the possibility of a budding romance between their friends.

As the game came to an end, Heeseung walked off the court, his face flushed with exertion. Jake couldn't help but feel drawn to him, his heart racing with excitement. He knew he needed to sort out his feelings, but for now, he just smiled and clapped Heeseung on the back, trying to play it cool.

"Great game, Heeseung hyung!" Jake exclaimed, his voice a little too enthusiastic.

Heeseung grinned, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Thanks, Jake! "

The two friends exchanged a warm smile, their connection palpable. The trio watched, fascinated by the undeniable chemistry between them.

Heeseung couldn't help but feel a flutter in his chest as he sensed Jake's eyes on him. He didn't dare to look in Jake's direction, afraid of what he might see. But when he finally worked up the courage to glance up, his heart skipped a beat. Jake was looking at him with an expression of utter adoration, his eyes wide with wonder.

For a moment, their eyes locked, and Heeseung felt like he was drowning in the depths of Jake's gaze. Jake's eyes quickly widened, as if he knew he had been caught, and he hastily looked away, his face flushing with a soft blush.

Heeseung's heart raced as he thought to himself, "Cute." He couldn't deny the way his heart fluttered whenever Jake was around. He had always thought of Jake as just a friend, but lately, he had been feeling something more.

As they finished their game and walked towards the four musketeers, Jake exclaimed with a little too much enthusiasm, "GG Heeseung hyung!" Heeseung smiled, feeling a warmth spread through his chest at Jake's praise.

Their conversation flowed easily, but Heeseung couldn't shake off the feeling that Jake's gaze had left on him. He couldn't deny his heart anymore; he was feeling something more than friendship whenever Jake was with him.

But what did it mean? Heeseung wasn't sure. He had never felt this way before, and it scared him. What if Jake didn't feel the same way? What if their friendship was ruined by unrequited feelings?

Heeseung pushed the thoughts aside, focusing on the present moment. He would enjoy the time with Jake, and worry about the future later.

As they sat together on the bench, laughing and joking, Heeseung couldn't help but steal glances at Jake. He was so carefree, so full of life, and Heeseung felt drawn to him like a magnet.

Others noticed the exchange, and Sunghoon whispered to Ni-ki, "I think Heeseung hyung might have a thing for Jake."

Ni-ki nodded, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "I know, right? I've seen the way he looks at him."

Jay smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I think Jake feels the same way. He's always been a little too enthusiastic around Heeseung."

The three friends exchanged knowing glances, eager to see how this would play out. Little did they know, Heeseung and Jake's feelings were only just beginning to surface.
