Secret of faeiries realm
A faerie's heart is both their greatest strength and their ultimate weakness. Reaching it is nearly impossible, requiring immense power to pierce through their defenses. Even then, a single strike won't suffice. To truly defeat a faerie, you must relentlessly stab their heart, severing it again and again until its regenerative magic is utterly exhausted. Only then will the faerie finally die.

I closed the book with a sigh. It was filled with nothing but praises for faeries, and it was outrageously annoying.
I secretly sneaked into his room while he was away on business.
It's been eight days since Jade died.
There isn't a single minute that I don't remember her. The pain of missing her is so intense, it feels like a physical wound.
My mind is consumed with thoughts of vengeance; it's the only thing keeping me from losing myself entirely.
Vengeance has become my reason to live.
My anger towards the prince grows stronger each day.
Every night, I lie awake, plotting his death, but each plan feels impossible. I want to become stronger, but even with relentless physical training, I know it won't be enough.
I was sifting through his mini-library, which was crammed with books on dark magic and faeries. One book, gold in color, on top of the shelves in the corner, caught my attention.
It was too high for me to reach, so I stood on my tiptoes, stretching out to grab it. Suddenly, the room darkened, and shadows filled the space.
He was here.
Right behind me, enveloping me in his shadow. It was dark but surprisingly warm.
He rested his chin on my shoulder.
"Sneaking into a mage's room. You're either very brave or very foolish."
He glanced at the book I was trying to reach.
"Faeries..." he murmured so quietly it was almost inaudible, but standing this close, I heard it clearly.
It made me aware of the closeness between us
He reached for the book and moved away, leaving me in the sudden cold.
"You're playing a very dangerous game, sweetheart," he said, handing me the book. I took it.
"Want to go out?" he asked.
"A dark mage asking me on a date? What an honor," I replied, mocking him.
I was never the daring type, but around him, I didn't seem to care. I knew he was dangerous, but I wasn't cautious around him at all.
"You deserve a peace of mind after what you went through, sweetheart."
he said softly, catching me off guard. I expected a threat.
"you've been cooped up inside the house for a while. Get out, explore the city of devils. You don't often get a chance to be in a place like this," he said, smiling, showing his teeth.
"I thought I was your prisoner," I said looking away so I don't meet his eyes.
"Technically, yes. But I have a soft spot for beautiful ladies," he said, winking.
I rolled my eyes.
He was right, though. Being locked up was driving me crazy. I needed to get out, breathe some fresh air, and clear my mind.
"Well?" he prompted.
"Do you want me to beg?" he asked, a hint of amusement in his voice.
"I wouldn't mind seeing you beg," I said sarcastically.
He tilted his head, a smirk forming on his face. "Sweetheart, I didn't know you were into those things," he said, emphasizing the last two words.
Fed up with his nonsense, I agreed to go out with him.
"Fine, let's see your city."
......................
We were in a carriage, traveling from his house situated far away in the mountains.
"We're traveling by carriage?" I asked, confused.
"Yes," he replied, sitting across from me.
The carriage was quite spacious, but not enough for him. He was too big, and our legs kept touching, which was rather awkward.
"Why don't you use your shadow like you always do? I'm sure you could take me with you."
"Then how would I get to spend time with you?" He winked again.
He loves to wink.
After killing the prince, my next wish would be to stab him in the eye so he'd be stuck winking forever.
I sighed, knowing it was useless to ask more questions, and looked out the window.
It was dark outside, with mountains on either side. The sky was black. It had been afternoon just fifteen minutes ago.
I glanced back at him.
We made an eye contact.
He kept looking at me without moving. I wanted to ask him so many things.
"You look like you have a lot of questions on your mind."
"I'm in a good mood, so I'll answer them. Come on, ask me anything," he said, that smug look still on his face.
I didn't like his smug look, but my curiosity got the better of me.
"Why is it so dark all of sudden? It was afternoon just a bit ago."
"It's because we are near the city of devils."
"We weren't in city of devils?" I asked, confused.
"No, sweetheart, we were in the human realms. And the reason we're using a carriage instead of shadow magic is that I can't."
My expression turned to anger. He lied to me.
"Don't look so disappointed. The first reason really was to spend time with you, and the second is that I can't," he laughed.
I wasn't disappointed. I wanted to argue but I am hungry for information, so I kept quiet.
" To enter into the city, you need to go through a portal called Stygia. It separates other realms from the mage realms."
He shifted and crossed his legs, continuing,
"In Stygia, No magic is allowed."
Suddenly, a tunnel appeared ahead of us. It was enormous, radiating animosity. As we passed through it, the sense of animosity grew stronger.
He held my hand, his large hand enveloping mine. The warmth calmed me down. He kept holding it until we emerged from the tunnel, and the feeling of animosity vanished.
"Welcome to the city of the devil, Tenebrae."
