Dear Journal,

Have you ever watched Citizen Cane. In one scene, Kane spreads out every newspaper that he owns on a table and laughs in glee over his victory. It's a cult classic.

I feel just like that.

Today was quite a spectacle. My egregious ex—Emily stormed into my office, her reputation in tatters after bailing out of our show at the last minute. She was crying since her agency dropped her after we threatened to file a case for breach of contact. I'm certain she thought she could get away with it since James was in her corner.

I didn't hold back a single bit. I made sure to mention how I found her behavior unprofessional and how disappointed I was with how she treated her staff. It felt good to stand my ground.

She was in tears, claiming that James had dumped her—now, there was no one in her corner. The irony wasn't lost on me. What made the situation even more hilarious was when she begged me to take her back.

The universe likes to make jokes once in a while.

I wouldn't have touched her with a ten-foot pole. Her demeanor shifted drastically when I said no—she tried to attack me. But May, my fierce protector, grabbed her by the arm and twisted it behind her back. After the 'incident' with James, she had been going to self defence classes three times a week. She likes to practice on me which leads into me taking off my clothes and getting down on my knees.

She told her to get out and never come back, threatening to make her life as miserable as she had made ours if she ever returned.

Emily choked on her words as she stumbled out of my office. I'm certain that I'll get my lawyers to take care of. We wouldn't want any trouble now do we?

Seeing May take control and stand up for us was made me incredibly proud. I wrapped her in my arms to calm her down. She asked if I was okay, and I told her I've never been better. Her strength and loyalty mean the world to me.

After the commotion, she kissed me and asked if there was anything I wanted to do now that we're not as busy. I suggested a trip to Rome next week. She laughed and agreed, and I couldn't be more excited.

I've never been happier. I can't wait to show her the beauty of Rome and share more moments like this with her. Life feels complete, and it's all thanks to her.

I can't wait.

Several weeks of us relaxing in Rome. God, we needed it.

Much to do,

Alexander.
