Dear Journal,

Work has picked up again, and as they say—business is booming.

Our reputation is impeccable, but the success comes at a cost. May and I are constantly working late, going home exhausted, grabbing a quick bite, and then collapsing into bed. The cycle repeats every day, and it's wearing us down. May, ever the perfectionist, is pushing herself harder than ever, and I can see the strain.

Today, her personal assistant came over to inform me that one of her appointments had been canceled. I seized the opportunity and told her to book a massage for May and ensure she goes home on time.

I don't mind staying late if it means she gets a chance to relax.

When I told May, she seemed sad that I couldn't join her, but I reassured her that she's been working incredibly hard and deserves a break. She kissed me, and I melted like candy. In that moment, all the stress and exhaustion seemed to vanish. She told me to take care of myself too, and I promised I would.

It's challenging, this relentless pace, but moments like these remind me why we do it. We're building something incredible together, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. But I need to make sure we both find time to breathe, to reconnect, and to remind each other why we're doing this. I'll make sure of it.

Much to do,

Alexander
