Dear Journal,
Merry Christmas!
This Christmas, May and I decided to celebrate alone together. It's our first Christmas as a couple, and there's a special kind of magic in the air. I watch her from the living room as she attempts to make a gingerbread house in the kitchen. She's dressed in my robe, her hair a little messy, and I can't help but smile knowing she's in my life.
We exchanged gifts this morning. She gave me a beautiful blue silk tie that perfectly matches my eyes. I gave her a gold locket with a picture of us inside. When she saw it, she told me she loved it and apologized for her "basic" gift. I reassured her that it was perfect and promised to wear it with my new suit.
As she struggles with the gingerbread house, I walk over, holding a mistletoe above our heads. "It's tradition," I say with a grin. She laughs and leans in to kiss me, her lips soft and sweet.
After the kiss, she asks, "Do you want a different type of present?" There's a mischievous sparkle in her eyes. I tug at the sash of her robe, and she smiles. This Christmas is already perfect, but May has a way of making everything even better.
We'll get back to the gingerbread house later. For now, I'm just grateful to have her by my side, filling my life with love and warmth.
Much to do,
Alexander
