Chapter 13-

A New Beginning

Aditya woke up early, the house still silent and peaceful. He glanced over at Meher, who was still asleep beside him. Quietly, he slipped out of couch and headed to the kitchen.

- At the kitchen:

Shakuntala was bustling about, preparing breakfast.

Shakuntala - "Aditya, you're up early? Is Meher still sleeping?"

Aditya - "Yes, she's still asleep. It seems that she's not used to waking up early."

Shakuntala - "You should wake Meher up with love. And hand her this breakfast."

Aditya - "Why? You're here, right? You can do it."

Shakuntala - "Didn't you make a promise? Remember?"

Aditya - "Promise? What promise?)"

Shakuntala - "I'm your grandmother; I know everything. Anyways in order to fulfill your promise that you made to Arjun, you need to take care of Meher."

Aditya's phone buzzed with a message from Arjun.

Arjun (text) - "Hope you're taking good care of my sister."

Aditya (text) - "Yes, don't worry. I will always remain like that."

Aditya took the breakfast tray and walked back towards his room. He entered to find Meher still nestled comfortably in bed.

-At their room

Aditya - "Meher, wake up. It's morning."

Meher - "Yes, 5 more minutes"

Aditya - "I brought you breakfast. And apparently I'll wake you up with love."

Meher - "Mr. Akdu? What is all this drama?" (Mr.rude)

Aditya - "First of all, I've a name and yeah this is your new life. You'll need to adjust."

Meher - "You're very strange. And I don't need breakfast."

Aditya - "I think you need breakfast."

Meher - "You don't need to tell what I need and what I don't!"

Just then, Isha and Diya walked in.

Isha - "Arre, hum galat waqt pe aa gaye kya?"
(Did we come at the wrong time?)

Diya - "Koi baat nahi, in dono ke beech siwayi ladhayi ke kuch bhi nahi hone wala."
(It's okay, except for fight nothing much is going to happen between them.)

Meher - "You both here? Finally got to see something beautiful!!"

Three of them hugged each other and they went in a conversation discussing about the last night

Isha - "Woow Aditya bhaiya, we never knew you would take this good care of her!!"

Diya - "Youu never liked all thesee and now see what all my poor brother is doing for his wife."

Aditya - "Yeah, I've to. She's my wife, my responsibility after all."

Diya and Isha teasingly said - "OHOOOO My wife!!"

Aditya walked out of the room to avoid the awkwardness

Diya - "Forget all this, we'll help you get dressed, Meher!"
