Chapter 14-

Morning Tensions and Midnight Revelations

Early morning at the Roy's. The sun is just rising, casting a soft glow through the windows.
Aditya is still asleep on the balcony chair, looking peaceful.
But Meher's sleep gets disturbed by the sound of a ringing phone. She reaches out, realizing it's not her phone, but Aditya's. Groggily, she answers it.

Meher - Hello?

Voice on the phone - Good morning, is this Mr. Aditya? This is his assistant.

Meher - I'm Meher.

Assistant - Oh, Mr. Aditya's wife?

Startled, Meher quickly wakes up fully and hands the phone to Aditya, shaking him awake.

Meher - What is this? Can't you wake up? Can't you see how many times your mobile is ringing?

Aditya, still half-asleep, realizes the phone is still connected and answers it.

Aditya - Hello? Haan, I'll be there shortly. (Hello? Yes, I'll be there shortly.)

Aditya hangs up and looks at Meher.

Aditya - Tum kyun uth gayi? (Why did you wake up?)

Meher - Tumhare phone ki wajah se. (Because of your phone.)

Aditya - Tumhe phone uthana zaroori tha? (Did you have to answer the phone?)

Meher - Haan, warna yeh kitni der tak bajta rehta. (Yes, otherwise it would have kept ringing for a long time.)

Aditya - Achha, theek hai.

Aditya quickly gets ready for the urgent meeting, while Meher goes back to sleep. Downstairs, Shakuntala and Diya were waiting for both of them at the Breakfast.

-At the breakfast

Shakuntala - Meher kahan hai? (Where is Meher?)

Aditya - Woh abhi bhi so rahi hai, raat ko der se soyi thi. (She's still sleeping, she slept late last night.)

Diya - Bhai, kya Meher ko zyada pareshaan toh nahi kar rahe ho? (Brother, are you troubling Meher too much?)

Aditya - Nahi, Diya. Woh bas thaki hui thi. (No, Diya. She was just tired.)

Shakuntala - Tumhe yaad hai, Aditya, Meher ka khayal rakhna tumhari zimmedari hai. (Remember, Aditya, taking care of Meher is your responsibility.)

Aditya - Haan, dadi. Main khayal rakhunga. (Yes, grandma. I will take care.)

Aditya - Chalo, main chaloon. Meeting ke liye late ho raha hoon. (Alright, I'll leave. Getting late for the meeting.)

Diya - Bhai, jaldi aana. (Brother, come back soon.)

Aditya leaves for the office

Shakuntala - To Diya
Jab woh jaage, use breakfast de dena. Shayad woh theek nahi hai. (When she wakes up, give her this breakfast. Maybe she's not well.)

Diya - Sure!

Shakuntala - She's still sleeping.

Aditya - Wait, let me check.
