Between the waves of silence

Note:

This chapter is different from the usual format, where the characters don't respond in dialogue but instead express themselves through poetry cozz..In my opinion, poetry has a unique way of speaking emotions—sometimes more profoundly than words alone ever can. It captures the depth of feeling, the silence between thoughts, and the complexities of the heart. So, in this moment, Aditya and Meher speak not with typical conversation, but with verses that convey everything they can't say aloud.

————————————————————————————————————————————————

The beach was an endless stretch of golden sand, with the deep blue ocean meeting the sky at the horizon. The waves crashed rhythmically against the shore, sending a fresh mist into the air, the scent of salt and freedom filling the atmosphere. The sun was beginning to dip, casting an amber glow that seemed to make everything come alive. It was a moment suspended in time, peaceful yet charged with an unspoken energy. The air had a cool breeze now, a soft contrast to the earlier heat of the day. As they stood there, the vastness of the ocean before them seemed to mirror the vastness of the emotions rising between Aditya and Meher.

Meher stood silent, her face unreadable, her eyes reflecting something deeper, something that only she knew. With a delicate, almost mournful sigh, she began to speak, not with words but with poetry that seemed to flow from her soul.

Meher -  "Aaj kuch is tarah khadi hun apne jazbaat ke beech
Aaj kuch is tarah khadi hu sahil ke kinare pe,
Uff, yeh kaisi bechaini hai mere dil mein
jaise Khaid hun aaj zindagi ke mehdood daire me us hi tarah jaise parinda ho uske bil me
Ab toh  khud se bhi baat karna mushkil ho gaya hai
Ab koi toh yeh uljhan samjhe,
Ya mere purane gham ko mita de, ya is aane wala kal ku door kar de."

("Today, I stand in the midst of my feelings,
Today, I stand by the shore,
I can't move away from him, nor can I get closer to him.
I can't forget my past story, nor can I start a new one.
I can't move back, nor can I move forward.
I don't want to break my promise,
but neither can I keep it.
Uff, what kind of restlessness is there in my heart,
As if I'm trapped today in the limited circle of life, just like a bird is trapped in its cage.
Now, even talking to myself has become difficult,
Someone, please understand this confusion,
Either erase my past pain, or take away this coming tomorrow.")

Her voice trembled slightly as she continued, her words punctuated by pauses as if each one carried the weight of everything unspoken between them. She turned and walked away slowly, her feet leaving light imprints in the wet sand as she sat down near the edge of the water, her gaze distant, lost in the waves.

Aditya stood motionless for a moment, unable to move. His thoughts churned, each one crashing against the other, like the very waves before him. The silence between them stretched, a tangible thing, and after what felt like an eternity, he took a few steps toward her, sitting down beside her. His eyes searched hers for something or maybe anything to understand what she was feeling or what's happening.
With some courage he finally speaks up but with poetry

Aditya -  "Ghalat fehmiya aksar lafzo sai hi hoti hai, Lehaza teri aankhein kuch na kehte we bhi bhut kuch keh jati hai."

("Misunderstandings often arise from words, yet your eyes, without saying a thing, speak volumes.")
