The morning sun filtered through the sheer curtains,  casting a warm glow over the kitchen where Hyunjin and Felix sat across from each other. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and toasted bread filled the air, mingling with the faint scent of Hyunjin’s cologne, which still clung to him from the night before.

Felix was busy pouring syrup over his stack of pancakes, a slight frown of concentration on his face. Hyunjin, meanwhile, was taking his time with his own breakfast, but his eyes were trained on his husband with an amused glint.

“So, Felix,” Hyunjin started, his voice laced with a teasing tone. “How are you feeling this morning? Any signs of falling in love yet?”

Felix looked up, his cheeks reddening slightly. “You know, I’m actually quite comfortable with you. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves.”

Hyunjin leaned forward, resting his chin on his palm with a playful smirk. “Oh, come on. Five days into this marriage, and no heart-fluttering moments? I’m starting to think I might be in trouble.”

Felix chuckled, shaking his head. “You’re quite confident for someone who’s making bets on love. Maybe you’re the one who’s getting in over his head.”

“Well, I wouldn’t be so confident if I didn’t believe in my charms,” Hyunjin replied with a wink. “Anyway, I’ve got a busy day ahead. I need to head to the office soon.”

Felix nodded, taking a sip of his coffee. “You’ll do great, Hyunjin. Just don’t let work take over.”

Hyunjin stood up, smoothing out his suit jacket. “Of course. But if you need anything while I’m gone, don’t hesitate to call.”

With that, Hyunjin left the kitchen, his polished shoes echoing softly against the marble floor as he made his way to the office.

At the company headquarters, Hyunjin’s day was filled with the usual whirlwind of meetings and decisions. However, one meeting stood out on his schedule — a sit-down with Minho, a former colleague and now a business associate.

When Minho walked into the conference room, his face lit up with a familiar, friendly smile. The two greeted each other warmly.

“Hyunjin, it’s good to see you again,” Minho said, shaking his hand firmly.

“Likewise, Minho. ” Hyunjin said as they settled into their seats.

“Very much so. Let’s get down to business,” Minho said, pulling out a folder. “I wanted to discuss the new project we’re partnering on. We’ve hit a few snags with the preliminary design and need to address them.”

Hyunjin nodded, focusing on the documents Minho presented. The discussion turned to budgets, timelines, and logistical hurdles. Both men were deeply engrossed in their work, exchanging technical terms and negotiating terms until the project was well-understood.

With the business matters wrapped up, Minho leaned back in his chair, a curious glint in his eye. “We’ve handled the work stuff. How about we catch up on the personal stuff. How are things with felix?”

Hyunjin’s expression softened, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. “its great. I know its an arranged marriage, but we’re navigating through it. It’s an interesting experience.”

Minho raised an eyebrow. “Interesting? That’s one way to put it. How’s it going with your spouse?”

“It’s been a mix of everything,” Hyunjin admitted. “There’s a bit of a game between us. We’ve actually made a bet on who will fall in love first.”

Minho chuckled. “A bet, huh? That’s certainly one way to approach it. How’s the game going so far?”

Hyunjin shrugged. “Too early to tell, but there’s some teasing and playfulness. It’s making things a bit more lighthearted, which I think we both need.”

“That’s good to hear,” Minho said. “Relationships, arranged or otherwise, need a bit of fun to keep things interesting.”

"How are things with jisung?" Hyunjjn asked.

"As usual , he's still an silly quaka" minho replied. Smiling widely as he thought about jisung.

Later that evening, Hyunjin returned home, feeling the exhaustion of a long day melt away as he entered the house. He found Felix near the front door, putting on his coat.

“Heading out?” Hyunjin asked, surprised.

Felix turned, a bit startled. “Yeah, just running a few errands. I’ll be back later.”

Hyunjin nodded, watching as Felix slipped out the door. He stood there for a moment, the quiet of the house settling around him. With a sigh, he headed to his study, his thoughts drifting to the events of the day and the subtle game he and Felix had begun.

As the door closed behind Felix, the chapter of their lives continued, filled with unspoken promises and the gradual unfolding of a love that was yet to be fully discovered.
