Felix hesitated, his gaze flickering between the abyss below and the desperate figure of Hyunjin. The gusts of wind roared around him, but Hyunjin's voice cut through the chaos, his words strained but piercing Felix's heart. The sight of Hyunjin's anguish brought a glimmer of clarity amidst Felix's turbulent emotions.
With a shuddering breath, Felix stepped back from the edge, his legs weak as he turned towards the source of the voice. Hyunjin rushed to him, tears streaking his face, and enveloped Felix in a tight embrace. Their breaths mingled as they both struggled to steady themselves. The warmth and steadiness of Hyunjin's presence provided the solace Felix desperately needed.
As they clung to each other, the distant wail of police sirens grew louder. Jisung, who had discreetly called the authorities, arrived at the rooftop. He looked between the two of them, his face a mask of concern and relief.
"Felix, I'm glad you're okay," Jisung said softly, his gaze shifting to Hyunjin.
Suddenly, the doors of the terrace burst open, and the police entered, causing Hyunjin and Jun Seo to widen their eyes in shock. Jun Seo, already on edge, looked at Felix with growing apprehension.
Felix, with a calm, almost taunting smile, approached Jun Seo. "Jun Seo, I think it's time for you to leave. Go on, pay for your doings. And don't worry, I'll take care of Grandma."
The police moved in, handcuffing Jun Seo, whose face displayed a mix of shock and despair as he was led away. Hyunjin watched this unfold and then chuckled, turning to Felix.
"So, was this your plan?" Hyunjin asked, a hint of amusement in his voice.
Felix sighed sassily. "Of course. Did you really think I'd leave you? Nah, baby... you're stuck with me."
Their conversation continued as Hyunjin took Felix home. That night, they fell asleep cuddling, the warmth of their bond a comforting end to a tumultuous day.
