AUTHOR POV~

The sun was just beginning to rise over Switzerland as Y/N woke up early for her first day at her new school. She felt excited and nervous as she got ready. She looked at herself in the mirror. She knew today was a fresh start, and she was ready to make the most of it. At school, she tried her best to be different from the person she used to be. She greeted everyone with a friendly smile and made an effort to join the conversations.

Her new classmates were polite but stayed a bit distant. She felt lonely but still hopeful. She knew it would take time to change how people saw her, but she was ready to try.  As the first day of school came to an end, She felt a bit better. She had managed to have a few positive and good talks with her classmates, which was a small win for her.

She was eager to return to her apartment with postive mindset, but as she walked to the parking lot, she saw two girls from her class walking home. She hesitated for a moment, unsure if she should talk to them. But then she thought about how lonely she felt and how she wanted to make new friends. Taking a deep breath, she decided to offer them a ride.

"Hey, do you two need a ride home?" She called out trying to sound casual. "I could drop you off if you'd like."

The two girls looked at each other, unsure. Her heart raced as she waited for their response. Finally, one of the girls spoke up. "Are you sure? It's kind of out of your way."

"It's no problem at all" she assured them with a warm smile. "I'd be happy to help you both."The girls exchanged glances to each other before nodding in agreement. "Okay thank you" said girl with curly hair and a friendly smile. "Hello! I'm Sophie, and this is Clara."

"Nice to meet you both" Y/N said, her smile widening. "I'm Y/N. I just moved here, so I don't know many people yet." I saw you both in my class. she tried to start a conversation. As they drove she spoke again, "So.. what's your favorite subject in school?" Sophie's eyes lit up. "I love art! I've been painting since I was a kid." she replied cheerfully.

Clara who had straight brown hair and a quieter nature, said "I'm more into science. I want to be a biologist someday." She nodded, genuinely interested in the conversation. "That's really cool. I've always admired people who can excel in different fields. I'm still figuring out what I want to do."

When they reached their homes, they had shared a few laughs and stories. As Sophie and Clara thanked her and went their home, she felt genuinely happy.  For the first time in a while, she felt like she had made a real connection. It was a small win, but it meant a lot to her.
