AUTHOR POV~

Y/N quickly dialed Minji, Soobin, Taehyun, and Eunae, her heart racing with excitement. As soon as they answered, she spoke, trying her best to sound casual.

"Hey, guys can you all come to the flower field by evening? I have a surprise for you all and Jungkook."

There was a beat of silence, and then Eunae gasped dramatically. "Don't tell me... you're going to propose to him!"

Her eyes widened. "How did you know?!" she asked pouting, she let out a tiny squeal, covering her blushing face with her hands. Before she could reply back Minji said
Oh my god. She IS!!"

That was all it took for the others to burst into laughter.

Soobin: "Wow. Our girl's doing the proposing first! Jungkook's gonna faint."
Taehyun: "I'll take a video. I need that reaction for the rest of life.'
Eunae: "He'll cry. I'm telling it now."

She  finally said
"How do you all know?! I was trying to be subtle " Minji: "Girl you've never been subtle about him. You practically glow every time his name's mentioned."
Soobin: "it's love, babe. We can all see it."
Taehyun: "Go get your man future Mrs. Jeon "

The evening sun filtered gently through the curtains as she stood in front of her full-length mirror. She wore a delicate off- yellow dress with soft white floral patterns that swayed every time she moved. Her hair was tied in a loose braid a few strands falling gracefully around her face.

She turned reaching out to the photo frame on her desk her father's smiling face looking back at her. She sat down beside it brushing her fingers along the edge as her eyes filled with emotion.

"Dad..." she whispered, her voice trembling. "Thank you... for always being there for me. For blessing me even from far away. I hope you're watching tonight..."
A tear slipped down her cheek and she wiped it gently.

"You remember right? You were the one who said Jungkook was a good man... before I even knew it. You saw something I couldn't back then. You were right."

Her voice broke as she laughed softly.

"He's the best, Dad. He's caring, stubborn, protective... annoyingly quiet sometimes, but he's mine. And I'm his."

She paused and held the frame closer.

"I'm going to propose to him today. Your daughter is finally asking the love of her life to stay by her side forever. I hope you're proud of me. I hope... you're with me." She closed her eyes inhaled deeply and stood up. She straightened her dress and looked at herself in the mirror one last time.

Then she whispered to her reflection, "Okay, Y/N. Let's not cry... This is your moment. A beautiful once in a lifetime kind of moment."

She glanced at her father's photo again with a bittersweet smile.

"Let's go!"

And with that she stepped out into the golden light of evening, ready to pour her heart into the field of flowers where her sunshine was waiting.

Jungkook stood in front of the mirror, buttoning the last few buttons of his cream shirt. The sleeves were rolled up to his elbows revealing the veins in his arms, and his hair was styled just the way she liked casually tousled but still neat. He wasn't even sure why he had put so much effort into getting ready. It wasn't a date. It wasn't a wedding.

It was just… her.

As he straightened his collar he caught a glimpse of his reflection and the smile playing on his lips. A smile he hadn't seen in a long, long time.
