Miracle : Dear to Me (Kiseki) The Story of Chen Yi and Eddie

Episode 1

At 17 things get a little better. Eddie is more mature and calmer , and the boss allows him to take over the bar for his birthday , he likes it , he feels useful. 

The another year ,t hey break their promise again because Chen Yi goes to what Eddie calls 'a stupid dinner' that the boss is cooking and Eddie celebrates at his new bar. It's still awkward to be together for any length of time , but there are weird moments at work or after work when they get along like they did when they were kids. Eddie always has his back and he feels more comfortable when they are together.

Just like their latest investigation into Zhang Teng.

Eddie loves to fight , so he lets him and few others take the lead. But when he sees Eddie with bloody knuckles and cut on his cheek , he becomes furious. he fails again to protect Eddie , who seems to regret getting hurt when he sees Chen Yi looking at him. 

Why is he sorry if he didn't do anything wrong?

Chen Yi wiped the blood from Eddie's cheek , he let him down. Eddie meets his gaze , and he looks at him with a soft tired look , it was as if all their past arguments never existed. Death looms over their heads every day and th eblood serves as a stark reminder that they could very well have died just seconds ago.

Chen Yi can put his arm around Eddie's shoulder without any resistance from the younger man. And when they return to the garage , he bandages Eddie's wounds. the relationship is not fixed but it is better. Things only get worse for Eddie.

For years he rebelled and tried to create as much chaos as possible in an attempt to gain attention.

"If only Chen You would look at me."

Even if his eyes showed disapproval or disappointment , at least they were focused on him. But all Chen Yi cares is about his beloved boss.

What he hates most it when his boss calls him , although this time it is not th eboss who wants to see him , but Chen Yi simply invites along.

"He just invited you to the headquarters. Why you drag me into this?"

Eddie ask as they walk through the elegant room. Who invites people to swim at a meeting anyway? Although he's not really complaining because he sees Chen Yi shirtless.

"Wouldn't you have followed me if i hadn't?" 

Chen Yi asks , and Eddie takes a step back. His stupid mind hoped that this was because Chen Yi wanted him to be here. Eddie falls silent , not wanting to admit the mistake , and follows him , noticing the tension in Chen Yi's shoulders.

They get to the bath and are left there alone. Eddie enjoys a few minutes of peace next to Chen Yi , soaking his feet in the hot water. But Chen Yi look tense. His body is stiff and Eddie looks at him sadly. He wants to reach out and touch him. Do something to relieve some of this stress. But he feels a million miles away.

Eddie makes a few comments about the absurdity of swimming in the middle of the day in an attempt to lighten the tension , but Chen Yi simply stares at him with a cold gaze in an attempt to lighten the tension , but Chen Yi simply stares at him with a cold gaze and they fall back into tense silence.

He is shocked to be suddenly pushed into the bathtub , and one glance at Chen Yi shows that he too was caught off guard. Turning around , he sees a man , the boss 'Papa' as he tells them to call him. It makes him even more disgusting knowing how Chen Yi thinks of him. 

Eddie can't help but roll his eyes when the boss's real lover shows up. What a joke. He doesn't pay much attention to the discussion , these stupid meetings bored him like nothing else , but his eyes never leave Chen Yi. 

Chen Yi  looks at the boss in awe , as if the ground where he stands is turning to gold. He hates it. Jealous of this.He wants Chen Yi to look at him this way. Eddie wants to shake him back to reality. 

You're a fool. I'm the one who looks at you , do not you see it?

Instead , Eddie waits until they're gone to throw a few munches. This is what he is best at. Anything to get Chen Yi to pay attention to him.

"Why don't you stay at headquarters?"

Eddie asks , although his voice lacks its usual edge. Because he's actually so worried about this whole visit. 

He grinds his teeth.

"Maybe you two can spend the night together. Or you spend more time with him and swim until your skin falls off."

Eddie snaps. This is his usual courage. Th emore he thinks about it , the angrier he gets.

"Shut up."

Chen Yi says calmly , clearly not interested in fighting with Eddie right now. But Eddie knows how to make a scene. He knows how to get under someone's skin. He especially knows how to get under Chen Yi's skin. He knows where the cracks in his iron armor are and constantly hits them.

He grumbles all the way home. It was only when they returned to the garage that Chen Yi turned to him with an absolutely murderous gaze , towering over him so close. This actually makes Eddie stop talking for a minute.

"You think i'll put up with everything you do because we grew up together?"

This statement made Eddie laugh because he finally got a reaction from Chen Yi.

"Anyway , you just dare to snap at me. If you have the courage , tell your boss how you feel about him." 

He says and his anger takes over. What drives him crazy is that Chen Yi loves the old man. Why can't he treat him like that? 

It was he who was constantly next to Chen Yi. It irritates him so much. He can't stand the look he saw in the bath house , this makes him want to cause Chen Yi the same pain that he experiences.

"Coward." 

Eddie spits , flicking Chen Yi on the nose.  Chen Yi grabs him by the collar and pushes him against the wall. Perverse excitement courses through Eddie's veins. But he misunderstands Chen Yi's reaction. It is not because he is angry at these statements , but because Chen Yi is tired of Eddie suggesting that he has romantic feelings for the boss. He had never felt anything but  gratitude towards the man for accepting them and desired his approval like any child would from their father. He honors and respects the person and wants to reach the same level of achievement as him.

In the end , it is Eddie who he constantly thinks about and does everything to protect. Damn it , he's dreaming about Eddie and he wakes up thinking about him. But he doesn't understand it.

"What did i say something wrong?"

Yes , all but Chen Yi can't do anything other than hold Eddie in place , taking every blow the guy throws.

"The way you looked at him in the bathtub , it felt like your eyes were going to pop out of your head. If you like him that much , just knock him out and take him home."

He really insists on this. Chen Yi's silence only spurs him on

"React. Get angrier at me. Or do something! Stop looking so damn uncaring!"
"I forgot."

Eddie says poking Chen Yi's shoulder with an evil smile on his face.

"You are no match for him. Why not wait another 10 years? He will grow old and you will grow up."

Eddie then looks down meaningfully , smiling wider , and says with an accent

"More..."

Certainly , Eddie is provocative as always. He doesn't miss him in a sexual way at all , and he doesn't want to hear it anymore. It's just an image Eddie had in his head , when its'okay.

"Shut up."

He says nudging Eddie one more time before letting him go and walking away. He doesn't answer Eddie call. This is offensive. Staying close will only encourage Eddie to talk more. WHat had he done to make the blonde hate him so much?
