Taehyung glared at Bogum, his expression hardening.

"None of your business!" he snapped, firmly taking Jungkook's hand and walking away.

Bogum frowned but stepped forward, trying to stop him. "I'm not interested either. I was just asking!"

"Leave us, Bogum!" Taehyung said sharply, pushing him aside. "I don’t want to see your face!"

With that, Taehyung walked off, keeping a tight hold on Jungkook's hand.

Jungkook, still shocked by the encounter, couldn’t help but wonder about the tension between them. He had never expected to hear that name—Bogum—from Taehyung, and it only raised more questions. Who were they to each other? Why was the atmosphere so tense?

His thoughts swirled as they walked in silence, but he didn’t dare ask Taehyung. Whatever it was, he knew it wasn’t the right time.

After a while, they arrived back home to find Jimin and Soo Hee setting the dining table. Taehyung released Jungkook’s hand as they walked in, and Jungkook couldn’t help but feel a pang of disappointment at the loss of the contact.

"Thank God you guys are here!" Jimin said cheerfully. "Everything’s ready... let’s eat!"

Taehyung smiled softly in response, walking toward the table. Jungkook followed behind, still lost in thought, when Soo Hee noticed him standing off to the side.

"Come, Jungkook," she said with a friendly, confused smile. "Why are you standing there?"

Jungkook blinked and nodded, walking toward the table to join them.

They all took their seats—Jungkook next to Taehyung, who was seated opposite Soo Hee. As they settled in, Jungkook glanced at Taehyung, but the elder was engaged in conversation with Jimin about the dishes.

"Look, Jungkook," Soo Hee said suddenly, making him turn toward her. She was proudly showing him a dish she had prepared, its aroma wafting through the air. It looked absolutely delicious.

"Taste it and tell me how it is," Soo Hee said, holding out a fork to Jungkook with a bright smile

"Taste it and tell me how it is," Soo Hee said, holding out a fork to Jungkook with a bright smile. "Hmm, taste it," she added, eager for his opinion.

Jungkook took the fork from her and moved it toward the dish, but just as he was about to taste it, Taehyung suddenly began coughing. Everyone turned in shock to look at him. Reacting quickly, Jungkook rushed to grab a glass of water and brought it to Taehyung's lips. The elder took a sip, letting out a sigh of relief.

Jungkook withdrew his hand when Jimin gently rubbed Taehyung’s back, helping him calm down. Once the coughing fit subsided, Taehyung looked at Soo Hee, his brows furrowed.

"What was that, Soo Hee?" he asked, his voice still a little strained.

"I-I’m sorry, Uncle," Soo Hee stammered, her face flushed with embarrassment. "I think I added a little too much chili powder to the dish."
