Chapter - 21

Jungkook woke up around 7 in the morning, he glanced at the bed and felt empty, so he quickly looked around the room, but did not find the missing person. Suddenly, he heard sounds outside the room, so he got up and went out. The room where he found his mother talking with some workers about how to arrange Taehyung's room.

"Mom," he called. His mother turned to him and smiled.

"You are awake, son. Go back to your bedroom and get ready, otherwise, you'll be late for school."

Jungkook nodded, but there was something he wanted to ask her.

"Mom, where is he?" Jungkook asked in a calm voice.

"Oh, he's in the kitchen, preparing breakfast," Mrs. Jeon replied. Before she could finish her sentence, Jungkook interrupted with wide, worried eyes.

"Mom, why did you let him go there? What if he hurts himself?" Jungkook said very quickly, making Mrs. Jeon a little confused and surprised by her son's sudden reaction.

"Calm down, Jungkook. You don't have to worry about him like this, it's okay. He can take care of himself... He is not a child. You go and take a bath. Today, I got a call from the principal, so I have to go there too. Did you do anything?" His mother asked.

Hearing this, Jungkook became silent and looked at her, who was waiting for his answer. Now, Jungkook started getting nervous thinking about the call his mother had mentioned. Why did the principal call her? Did they find out about his bunking? But wait, many students had bunked earlier too and weren’t caught. So how would he be caught? He bit his lip, and no answer came to his empty mind. What should he say to his mother now?

Truth or a lie? He didn’t know.

Suddenly, a worker came out, and Mrs. Jeon became busy with him, but before leaving, she looked at her son and said, "Go back, son. Or you’ll be late."

Jungkook nodded immediately and went towards his room, where he took a shower within a few seconds and came out, properly wearing his school uniform.

Downstairs, Taehyung put breakfast on the table with the help of the maids. He looked at them and smiled beautifully, saying thank you.

Today, when he woke up, he found himself in a completely new place. Just before he regained consciousness, he looked towards the bed and saw that the teenager was still sleeping.

He quickly got up and started doing his morning routine without making any noise. He didn’t want to disturb the younger’s sleep.

After everything was done, when he went out, he saw Mrs. Jeon coming upstairs with some staff who were now going inside the room they were preparing for him. He felt very bad for himself that he didn’t have his own living place anymore. He wasn’t guilty for staying here, but he wasn’t happy either. Mrs. Jeon was doing so much for him without even knowing the truth. The woman was too pure for him, and he was afraid of betraying her. He was scared. He just hoped that he wouldn’t hurt her in the end, but it felt useless to even think about it.

He went to her, and they shared a few things when suddenly Taehyung insisted on preparing breakfast, which of course Mrs. Jeon refused at first. How could she let him work in her house? But because of the elder’s constant requests, she agreed.

It wasn’t like doing daily work would harm Taehyung’s health. This much was fine during pregnancy. They just had to be careful about which type of activities Taehyung could do. Certain activities, such as lifting heavy objects or being stressed, should be avoided.

Now, after the work was done, Taehyung looked at Mrs. Jeon, who was calling someone on her cell phone in a worried tone. "Okay, I’ll be there, you take care of the patients." With that, she hung up the call. Taehyung glanced at her before curiously asking what had happened, to which Mrs. Jeon replied that she had some patients at the hospital. Today, the principal of Jungkook's school had called her for something, and she couldn’t go there because the patient needed her.
