Jungkook let out a quiet sigh, a trace of sadness lingering in his expression. But the moment he remembered his dream, a soft smile tugged at his lips. It had been so vivid, so beautiful—it lingered in his mind like a delicate melody.

His smile didn’t go unnoticed.

“Why are you smiling, Jungkook?” a voice cut through his thoughts. He blinked, turning toward the source. Soo Hee stood before him, her arms crossed in mild exasperation. “And wait—why were you sleeping in class? Don’t you know if the teacher caught you, she’d have punished you?”

Jungkook blinked, his gaze flitting to the bustling classroom. Students were moving around, chatting, and gathering in small groups. “Which period is this?” he asked, his voice laced with confusion.

“It’s lunch break, Jungkook,” Soo Hee replied, shaking her head in disbelief. “Get up and eat something before the break’s over.”

Jungkook’s eyes widened, realization dawning on him. Soo Hee sighed, stepping aside to give him space.

“Go wash your hands,” she said, her tone softening. “I’ll be at my bench. Come quickly, and we’ll have lunch together.”

Jungkook tilted his head in surprise. “Why? Aren’t you eating with your friends?”

Soo Hee rolled her eyes, though a small smile tugged at her lips. “You’re my friend too, can’t I eat with you this time?”

“I didn’t mean—of course you can, Soo Hee,” Jungkook said with a sheepish smile.

“Good. Now hurry up.” She motioned toward the door.

Jungkook nodded and stood, but just as he was about to leave, he paused. His gaze flicked toward his bag, and after a moment’s hesitation, he pulled something out. Soo Hee noticed the movement and narrowed her eyes.

“What’s that?” she asked, suspicion creeping into her voice.

Jungkook looked at her, a playful smile on his face. “I’ll tell you later.” Without waiting for her response, he walked away, slipping the item into the pocket of his black pants.

Soo Hee watched him leave, her brow furrowed in confusion. “What’s gotten into him today?” she murmured to herself.

In the boys' restroom, Jungkook followed his usual routine, heading to the stalls first. After relieving himself and zipping his pants, he turned toward the sinks but froze when he heard familiar voices entering the restroom.

“Yoongi, I’m scared. What if they catch us?” one of the boys said, his voice tinged with panic.

Jungkook shifted slightly, peeking from behind a corner.

Yoongi, the boy with cat-like features, rolled his eyes. “Jump or die,” he retorted, his tone nonchalant.

“We’re going to die if we jump from here!”

Annoyed, Yoongi gave his friend a playful kick. “Don’t be such a scaredy-cat. I didn’t raise you like this. If we don’t jump, we’ll have to take the accounts test in the next period—and I’m not doing that. So, goodbye!” Without another word, Yoongi climbed onto the ledge and jumped out of the window.
