Taehyung’s eyes widened in disbelief as he processed Jungkook’s words. His mouth hung slightly open, still in shock. "You really did!?" he asked, his voice filled with surprise.

Jungkook nodded, still sporting that proud smile. "Yes, I did."

Taehyung, now observing the younger man more closely, began to see the sincerity in his words. He looked at Jungkook’s face and replayed his words in his mind. A smile tugged at Taehyung’s lips, though he tried to suppress it. He couldn’t help but find the situation amusing.

Jungkook, confused by the elder’s reaction, stopped smiling and tilted his head. "What happened? Why are you laughing?" he asked, his face the picture of innocence.

This was not how he had imagined the moment would go. He had expected Taehyung to be shocked and then praise him for his bravery. After all, warning someone with such courage had to be considered brave, right? But instead, Taehyung was smiling, which, although comforting in a way, wasn’t quite what he had anticipated.

He couldn’t help but wonder—had he been too bold? Or was this just Taehyung’s way of showing approval? Either way, Jungkook liked seeing him smile, even if it wasn’t the reaction he had hoped for.

Taehyung burst out laughing at Jungkook's pout, unable to contain himself any longer. Jungkook’s innocent face only made it harder for him to stop.

"What happened?" Jungkook asked again, sitting down on the bed, still confused by the elder’s laughter.

Taehyung covered his mouth in an attempt to stop laughing but failed miserably. "I-I’m just imagining how you warned him," he said between fits of laughter.

Jungkook pouted even more, and seeing this, Taehyung's laughter died down. He leaned in closer to Jungkook, maintaining a comfortable distance. "Jungkook," he called softly.

"It was the first time I spoke to someone so rudely," Jungkook muttered, his voice barely above a whisper.

Taehyung listened attentively, nodding with a warm smile. "Thank you."

Jungkook immediately looked up, his heart skipping a beat as he found himself face-to-face with Taehyung. The closeness made his heart race, and he smiled unconsciously. But after a moment, he quickly hid his expression and said, "But you were laughing."

"Aww, then I’m sorry," Taehyung said, his voice soft and apologetic.

"No, please don't say that, it wasn't your fault... everyone will laugh at me if I say this," Jungkook replied sadly. The last sentence made Taehyung feel a little guilty for laughing. He hadn’t meant to hurt him.

"J-Jungkook—" Taehyung started, but was interrupted by the teenager.

"But you know, hyung... I didn't—umm, can I call you that?" Jungkook suddenly stopped, realizing what he’d said, looking at Taehyung for permission. He hadn’t even noticed the words slipping out.

Taehyung smiled warmly and nodded. "Well, it’s better than 'uncle,'" he said with a soft laugh, making Jungkook feel nervous and embarrassed.

"O-Okay, so what were you saying?" Taehyung continued, his tone still light.

Jungkook nodded, gathering his courage. "I didn’t feel bad when you laughed." Taehyung raised an eyebrow in surprise. "I mean, you have a nice voice, and a nice face... you look more beautiful when you smile or laugh—"
