Taehyung’s POV

I was packing up my things when I suddenly remembered the files that needed Mr. Kim's signature.

"Oh, no! How could I forget this?" I muttered, quickly grabbing the files and heading toward my boss's office.

As I approached, I saw Lisa, one of the more cheerful employees, walking out with tears in her eyes. I froze, alarmed.

"Lisa? What happened?" I asked, my concern evident.

She looked up, hastily wiping her tears. "N-nothing, Tae," she stammered, her voice shaky. Then her gaze fell on the files in my hand. "Are you going inside?"

I glanced at the files and nodded. "Yes, I forgot I needed Mr. Kim’s signature on these."

Lisa hesitated before replying, "Be careful, Taehyung."

Her warning puzzled me, but I simply nodded. "Thanks."

She gave a small nod and walked away, leaving me standing there, staring at the door. Gathering my courage, I knocked and entered after receiving permission.

"Good morning, Sir," I greeted respectfully.

Mr. Kim barely glanced up. "Good morning. What is it, Mr. Kim?" he asked in his cold, commanding tone.

"Sir, I need your signature on these files," I said, placing them on the table.

He picked them up and began flipping through the pages. As he reviewed the documents, I could feel his sharp gaze on me, making me increasingly nervous.

"This should have been completed already. Why is it delayed?" he barked, his voice rising.

I flinched at his sudden outburst. "Sir, I was waiting for the elder Mr. Kim’s signature, but he wasn’t in the office—"

"If my father wasn’t available, it was still your responsibility to get it done! You could have contacted his assistant!" he interrupted, his tone dripping with anger.

"Sir, I—"

"I don’t want to hear any excuses, Mr. Kim! I despise delays!"

"I-I’m really sorry, Sir. I’ll ensure it’s completed within two days."

"One day, Mr. Kim!" he snapped, glaring at me.

I swallowed my pride and nodded. "Yes, Sir."

Third Person POV

Taehyung exited the office with the files, his mind swirling with thoughts of the confrontation. He glanced back at the closed door, sighed, and walked away.

Jimin, noticing Taehyung’s stressed expression, approached him. "What happened?"

Taehyung explained the encounter with their new boss.

Jimin groaned. "Oh no! If he’s that strict, what’s going to happen to me with my pending work?"

"You better finish it," Taehyung advised, grabbing his bag and leaving the office.

After a while, Taehyung found himself standing outside Soo Hee’s school, waiting for her to come out.

---

Meanwhile, at the school...

Soo Hee stood outside the classroom, waiting for Jungkook. She smiled when she saw him walking toward the exit, seemingly unaware of her presence.

"Hey, Jungkook!" she called out cheerfully.

Jungkook froze in his tracks and turned around, spotting Soo Hee running toward him with a bright smile.
