Mrs. Jeon entered her son's bedroom, a soft smile gracing her beautiful face as she walked toward the boy still asleep on the bed. Gently running her palm through Jungkook's hair, she whispered, "Jungkook, wake up, son. It's morning."

Slowly, Jungkook woke, rubbing his tired eyes, and looked up at his mother. "Good morning, Mom," he mumbled, his voice still sleepy.

"Good morning," Mrs. Jeon replied with a warm smile, pressing a kiss to his forehead. "Get up now, breakfast is ready. You don’t want to be late for school."

Jungkook nodded, heading toward the bathroom. Mrs. Jeon quickly tidied up the room, taking out his school uniform from the closet and laying it neatly on the bed. She also gathered his shoes, tie, and everything else he would need.

Once everything was in place, she left the room and headed downstairs to the kitchen, where the maids were already cleaning the dinner table.

Suddenly, Mrs. Jeon's phone rang. She answered it with a soft smile, "Hello, Bong. How are you?"

"I'm fine, Nonna," came the voice on the other end — Mrs. Jeon's younger brother. "Did you forget to call your brother? How could you forget us?"

Mrs. Jeon chuckled. "I didn’t forget, how could I forget my only brother? By the way, I heard you arranged Jensi's wedding. Is that true?"

They continued chatting, and after some time, she hung up the phone, asking the maids to bring breakfast to the table.

Jungkook came downstairs in his school uniform: a white shirt, black pants, and a coat, his schoolbag slung over his shoulder and his glasses perched on his nose. He placed his bag on the sofa, then sat at the dining table to eat.

Mrs. Jeon looked at him and asked, "When is your next exam?"

Jungkook looked up while chewing his sandwich. "Next month," he said, his voice low.

"Are you preparing for it?" she asked with concern.

Jungkook nodded, though a trace of nervousness crept in. "I’m doing my best, Mom."

"Well, if you need help with anything, just ask me," she said reassuringly, and Jungkook gave a small smile, nodding in acknowledgment.

At school

Mrs. Jeon dropped Jungkook off at school before heading to work. As soon as Jungkook entered the building, he was startled by Soohee, who appeared in front of him with a mischievous grin.

"Jungkook, you look so scared!" she laughed.

Jungkook shot her a glare, but Soohee only pouted and said, "Don’t look at me like that."

"Why do you always scare me?" Jungkook muttered.

"Because I enjoy it!" she replied cheerfully before walking alongside him toward their classroom. "Hey, I have a plan for today. There's a movie at the theater — let’s go watch it together. I even asked my dad for money for the tickets." She pulled out 2000 won and showed it to him.

Jungkook frowned. "You shouldn’t bring so much money to school. What if someone steals it?"

Soohee rolled her eyes. "We’re not in nursery school, Jungkook. We know how to keep our things safe. But anyway, I have a secret to tell you," she added, a mischievous sparkle in her eyes.

Jungkook raised an eyebrow, puzzled. "What is it?"

"Come closer," she said with a teasing smile. "I can’t tell you if you’re too far away."
