It had been a couple of hours of sitting inside the container, sweating our asses off. The only light and fresh air we had was seeping in through the vent. Tensions were rising between the five of us, as we were crammed inside the tiny space.

"Nice work, John B. You know these things lock from the outside, right?" JJ scoffed.

"Okay, I was just trying to get us on the boat, JJ." John B replied. "I wasn't thinking that far ahead." He sighed. Kie looked over at me, wiping sweat beads from her forehead.

"Yeah, well, now we're stuck in here like rats." JJ snapped back. I was sweating in my jacket, so I started taking it off.

"It's hot." Kie sighed, as she started taking her jacket off, as well.

"In this death cage!" JJ continued, frustratedly.

"Okay, JJ, you're not helping." Pope sighed.

"You don't have a whole lot of room to talk right now, Pope." JJ replied, as he looked over at Pope. "You said you had a plan, but what happened to thinking ahead?"

"God, you're rubbing off on him too much." Kie chuckled, as she looked over at me. I rolled my eyes at JJ's nipping at everyone.

"I find your lack of self-knowledge disturbing." Pope snapped back to JJ.

"Oh, last I checked," JJ started, chuckling. "You literally shot an oil container with a gat. Remember that?"

"Oh, my God. Shut up!" I shouted. "Just shut up!" I sighed, both JJ and Pope falling silent. "You guys need to pull it together." I added, as I ran my hands through my hair.

"Let's try to find a way out of here." Pope sighed, as he looked at Kie.

After many unsuccessful attempts at trying to open the door from the inside, we gave up and sat back down. We remained sitting ducks.

"Hey Pope, do you know how to kill a snake?" JJ asked, as John B peered out of the vent and Kie, Pope and I were sitting down, exhausted from the heat.

"You go for the head." Pope replied.

"Exactly. But the head, in this instance, is the bridge." JJ replied. We all looked over at him, as if, perhaps he was onto something. "To take the bridge, we need maximum fire power. And I happen to know that there is an armory on this ship in case of pirate attacks." I scoffed and rolled my eyes.

"'Pirate attacks'. Right." Kie sighed.

"So, if we take that, and I'm not just talking pistols," JJ continued. "I'm talking knives--"

"Alright, you lost me." I muttered. "Look, killing everybody here is not a plan." I said, as I stood up and walked over to JJ.

"Alright, well, we lost her." JJ said, as I walked past him.

"Yeah, count me out, too." Kie sighed, as she stood up and followed me.

"Well, I'm serious, if we get to the armory..." JJ continued, as Kie and I walked towards the back of the container.

"Ugh, I'm so hot." I sighed.

"Same." She grunted, as she lifted her head up, before turning it, confusedly. "Wait, Riley, there's light coming from behind here." Kie said, as she pointed to a stack of bins against the wall. "Help me move these." She grunted, as we picked up a bin and stacked it on the opposite side. As we did so, we revealed a bigger vent grate that was screwed on to the wall from the inside.

"Holy shit, Kie." I smiled.

"You think we can fit through that?" She asked, as she looked over at me.
