It's been a week since Kate and Nika did that "thing." Kate only told Sydney about that because would start making jokes like they did when Kate had a crush on one of the volleyball girls after seeing one if her games.
"UGH." Kate exclaimed annoyed at the recent situation that had blossomed with Nika. It was 2am, Kate and the girls had a gym session the next day without having actually basketball practice.
Kate sat up in her bed groaning at the lack of sleep she had been getting and looked around her dark room and thought for a moment. Most of the girls were probably passed out asleep considering it was 2 in the morning but besides the point Kate still got up grabbing her slides and going into the dimly lit hallway were it looked like a ghost town.
Kate went to Caitlin's room first then Sydney's hoping that one of them could be awake. Kate knocked loudly on Sydney's door and to Kate's surprise Sydney opened the door groggily.
"What." Sydney said rubbing her eyes yawning.
"You want to go down to the 7/11 to grab some snacks? I can't sleep." Kate asked before Sydney turned around.
"Kate, what time is it? It's probably like 11.... 2AM?!?" Sydney said loudly while Kate looked down at the carpeted floor. "You're lucky I love you."
Sydney went back inside and grabbed a pair of slides and her wallet walking out of her dorm. The two girls walked through the empty hallways of the dormitory looking at all the doors as the two passed, a particularly room kept catching Kate's eyes Nika's room.
The elevator was slow going down to the main floor, Sydney propping herself against the wall of it waiting for the elevator door to open.
"Finally, that ride felt like forever." Sydney said pushing herself up and walking over to open elevator doors, the two girls were walking then Kate stopped right in front of Sydney while she was on her phone and she crashed into Kate's back.
"Ow, Kate! What the f-" Sydney looked up to what Kate was frozen by and saw Nika walking into the building with her AirPods glued into her ears. "Ohhh I get it."
