It was around noon time in Iowa City, it wasn't one of those nice days turning the summer that you'd want to be outside. It was pouring outside making the weather not so enjoyable well not enjoyable to everyone except Nika.
She loved rainy days and enjoyed staying home cuddled up watching shows on the T.V. but today was a little different schedule for the normal rain day, Kate had taken Nika out to get some lunch before the two decided to stay home to rest of the day.
So here the two were Kate went out to grab the food parking the car in the closets spot to the building, quickly giving Nika a kiss and running into the building trying not to get soaked by the rain.
Kate got inside showed the nice man what the two hand ordered and he went to grab the food, Kate had a suspicion that the man was flirting with her due to his over kindness, but little did he know Kate was already taken; the man came back out with the bag labeled with Nika's name plastered on the side of the brown bag.
The man handed it to Kate still smiling like crazy at her, making her feel uncomfortable.
"I slipped my number in there, so call me cutie." The man winked at Kate making her feel disgusted at him.
"Listen, uh.." Kate looked at the man's name tag on his chest that was pinned to his apron.
"Kayden, I'm already taken so.." Kate said starting to walk away from the counter, the man's other employees laughed at him as he watched Kate leave the restaurant back outside into the rain taking a deep breath and running back out to the car knocking on the window trying to get Nika's attention.
Nika on the other hand had the music on the radio playing semi loudly while she was scrolling through Instagram not hearing Kate at all, Kate knocked a bunch more times with Nika not hearing her at all.
"Babe!" Kate said through the window knocking harder, she sighed regretting leaving the keys in the car with Nika in it; poor Kate was already soaking wet since the rain had gotten harder since she had gotten out of the building.
"NIKA! Prokletstvo da je jebeno gluha!" Kate yelled in Croatian, then Nika was laughing at something on her phone looking up at the ceiling of the car with her hands placed over her mouth, she kept rocking around until she saw Kate standing in the pouring rain already soaking wet.
Nika looked at Kate with a shocked face quickly pressing the unlock button on the car now looking at Kate trying her best not to laugh as she sat on the drivers seat making it wet.
"Kate, you're soaked!" Nika said now laughing at her girlfriend who didn't seem very amused by Nika, Nika felt Kate's clothes and her hand was completely wet.
