"Kate Martin, you promised." Kate was frozen in her spot at the unexpected guest that came into her dorm room, she knew that one of the girls would get her but she never excepted Sydney to come in while she stood at the doorway in shock.
"Sydney! I can't explain!" Kate said getting up quickly while Sydney rushed inside slamming Kate's door shut and picking up the bag and cigarettes while looking between the two drug substances.
"Explain what! THAT YOU BROKE THE PROMISE!?!?" Sydney said placing the bags back down on the counter and glaring at Kate who was staring at the ground with tears in her eyes.
"I know... it's just-" Kate stopped talking and covered her face with her hands sobbing into them, Sydney's anger immediately turned into softness and went over hugging Kate tightly.
"Shhh, it's ok." Sydney said running her hand through Kate's hair while she sobbed into Sydney's shoulder. "What's wrong?"
"I've been so stressed and it's making me more depressed to the point where..." Kate said trying to fight back her tears with Sydney looking at her softly.
"Where what?" Sydney asked softly again. Kate didn't say a word but wiped her tears with her hoodie sleeve and then pulling up her right hoodie sleeve that revealed the deep cuts that were still bloody and red; Sydney looked at Kate's arm in horror.
"Wh- how?" Sydney said while Kate got up and went to her bedroom door stopping at it and tearing up.
"Follow me." Kate said with Sydney closely behind as the two girls walked into the bedroom and before Kate opened the door to the bathroom she held her hand on the handle and leaning her head against the door before pushing it open.
Sydney walked in after Kate and looked to her left to see blood all over the sink, counter, faucet and some the splashed up on the bottom of the mirror; Sydney felt herself tear up as she stepped closer to the area that looked like a crime scene and staring at it.
Then Sydney saw a rag with something poking out of it and blood all over the rag, Sydney's hand was shaking like crazy while she opened the folded rag and saw a bloody razor; Sydney never moved faster to hug someone then she did right there with Kate.
"I'm so sorry.." Kate mumbled into Sydney's chest and Sydney holding her tightly.
"Why didn't you tell anyone?" Sydney said holding Kate's hands looking straight in her blue eyes.
