The sun poured into Kate's room through the white blinds that were blowing from the air conditioning below the curtains, Kate's eyes flickered open as she looked outside to see a beautiful day and she saw her perfect girlfriend sleepy peacefully below her.
Kate reached for her phone slowly trying not to wake Nika up from her peaceful sleep, Kate looked down at her phone and saw the notification reading: My wonderful girlfriend's birthday.
Kate set her phone back down on the night stand and carefully peeled off Nika's arms off Kate's body in attempt to not wake her up, she finally broke free of her girlfriend and moved towards her closet slowly grabbed out the various presents that Kate bought her and moving out towards the dark living room and kitchen.
Kate turned on the lights with her eyes attempting to adjust to the brightness of the lights, Kate rubbed her eyes reading the clock on the stove 7:30am.
"Shit it's early." Kate mumbled while grabbing some on the birthday decorations from the white and pink part bags, it wasn't a lot in general but Kate felt like it was enough for Nika, especially everything that she's helped Kate with.

Nika groaned a bit hearing the noise of some pans clicking together but chose to ignore it laying on her back on the bed feeling around for Kate who wasn't there.
"Where'd she go?" Nika mumbled to herself softly before groaning again and slamming her head against the soft pillow falling back asleep.
On the other hand, Kate finished decorating the kitchen and living room making her satisfied, then first Kate grabbed the roses she had bought yesterday and put them in water next to the pink card placed on the counter.
Next she grabbed the white unicorn with pink hair and multi colored horn.

"Kate look!" Nika yelled dragging Kate over to the stuffed animal section in Target. Nika pointed to a white unicrn with pink feet and a multi colored horn, Kate looked at Nika weirdly at first.
"Aren't you too old to want a unicorn?" Kate asked her girlfriend who rolled her eyes at Kate.
"Come on PLEASEEE!" Nika said giving Kate puppy dog eyes, she knew Kate couldn't resist her puppy dog eyes and as much as Kate looked away she couldn't resist.
