Today was supposed to be one of the best days of Kate's life, her 21st birthday. But after what happened between Nika and Kate everyone had been ignoring her so Kate knew her first birthday in the United States would suck.
So, here Kate was sitting on her bed waiting for mid night to strike Iowa city staring at the countdown on her laptop; it was 11:55pm and Kate quickly rushed to the kitchen to grab the cupcake she had bought earlier and a lighter.
The next five minutes went quicker than Kate had thought as I was a minute from midnight and Kate being 21.
"5,4,3,2,1 Happy birthday to me..." Kate said as the countdown struck 0:00 and she lit the candle on top of the cupcake with the lighter and placing the lighter down next to her as she made her wish and blowing out her candle, tears started falling more as she looked on her phone to see messages from her family but no one else. She responded to her parents and siblings first and headed back to bed.

It was 9 o'clock now and Kate couldn't sleep after she tried to go back to sleep but just couldn't so she just decided to wake up, she sighed and checked her phone again to see nothing from any of the girls.
"Damn..." Kate said to herself checking all her messages and putting down her phone, Kate just wanted to get out of the dorm and go to get food at the cafe and figure out what to do.
Kate didn't even bother to get changed and went out in her white Iowa hoodie and black shorts grabbing her keys for the car and her dorm and walking out to the loud hallway with people already walking in the hallways, Kate went downstairs and to her car to drive over to the cafe.

Nika woke up in Sydney's dorm room confused but then remembered what happened the last 2 nights between Kate and herself. Nika looked around to see herself the only one awake while everyone was asleep on the floor, couch, or chairs that decorated Syd's dorm; Nika looked at her phone and saw a reminder on her phone that read: Kate's 21st birthday!
Nika just stared at the notification in front of her, she didn't know what the feel. Should she say something to Kate or should she not? Kate already knew that Nika was pissed at her.
