Today, I am going to tell you the story of a very beautiful, very intelligent young woman who runs her own classy boutique in the city of Vienna, Austria. Like many, she dreams of meeting Prince Charming and starting a family, but despite her strong desire to become a mother, she hasn't had much luck with the men she meets. This is how she finds herself one day forced to leave her boutique and Austria, only to make headlines a few days later.

Estibaliz Carranza was born on September 6, 1978, in Mexico City. Her father, Armando Carranza, is a rather renowned political journalist who regularly writes articles against the current regime, so much so that one day the army showed up at their home to intimidate the family.
And it works, because not only is young Estibaliz traumatized by these uniformed men suddenly showing up at their home, but her parents also decide it's too dangerous to stay and choose to move to Spain.
In Spain, Estibaliz's life changes completely. Her father now works from home and constantly asks her to be quiet so he can concentrate. School is challenging for her as well. Estibaliz is the new kid, and on top of that, she's a Mexican immigrant, making it hard for her to make friends. But one day, when she's around ten years old, her world is turned upside down: her mother is pregnant and eventually gives birth to a little brother whom Estibaliz loves with all her heart. More than just being happy to have a little brother, this becomes a revelation for her: she dreams of getting married and becoming a mother herself.
Her parents initially think it's just a passing childhood whim, but as the years go by, this idea becomes an obsession for their daughter. As she grows up, Estibaliz, who becomes a very beautiful young woman, has no trouble meeting men, especially when she goes out to nightclubs.
However, most of the time, the men she meets are much older and don't share the same expectations as the young teenager. In an autobiography she would later publish, she claims that one day, one of these men invited her to a private party, took her aside, and sexually assaulted her. This incident, which she had never spoken about before the book, was not reported to the police at the time.
Years go by, and at 17, Estibaliz finally has her first real boyfriend, a boy from her school. They date, and while Estibaliz is head over heels in love with him and sees him as the man of her dreams, the future father of her children, the boy does not share the same feelings. He is very clear with her: it's just a fleeting relationship, and he has no intention of committing further. When she shares her strong desire for marriage and children, he breaks up with her. Estibaliz is devastated and humiliated, so much so that she starts having dark thoughts: what if she killed him by cutting the brake line of his car, for instance, or tampering with the heating in his apartment? Of course, she doesn't act on these thoughts, but they weigh heavily on her.
