Caitlin woke up extra early today. It was October 15th, also Crossover at Kinnick. Today was a big day, not necessarily because they are facing a tougher opponent, but because of how this is new history.

Caitlin was currently straightening her hair,l in her bathroom, while Kylie was relaxing on the apartment couch. Her phone buzzed, and she looked down seeing her brother's name flash across her screen. She swiped and answered call.

"Hey, Cait," greeted her brother, small hellos were also heard from her family in the background. The family was eating breakfast in their hotel room, courtesy of room service.

"Morning, Colin and everyone else," greeted Caitlin, pulling her strands through the straightener. "What's up?"

"Nothing, just wanted to talk to you on this big day," said Colon, before taking a bit of his pancake. "This is exciting."

"No kidding, I heard we completely sold it out," chuckled Caitlin.

"No doubt about that, Iowa has been put on the map now," laughed Brent. "You girls deserve it, all this media attention even if it's invasive."

"It's all good, though. Kendall has been managing media questions and cameras lately," shrugged Caitlin, and Anne immediately perked up from the other side of the table at the mention of Kendall. "We had to wait an extra five minutes on media day because she was briefing the press on not asking stupid questions."

"Are we not going to see Kendall in the crowd then? Since she's now your intern," asked Anne, a little tinge of disappointment. Caitlin chuckled.

"No, she's going to be court-side unfortunately. She'll be with Bri who is going to be taking photos too," smiled Caitlin, now unplugging her straightener and combing through her hair. "But don't worry, you guys will be down on the court after anyway. She'll be there."

"Good," smiled Anne, carrying on sipping her coffee which resulted in Brent laughing at her eagerness to meet her fake girlfriend. "Well, Caity, we will leave you to it. Good luck today, wear a long sleeve. It'll be cold."

"Yeah, yeah mother," chuckled Caitlin, going to go lay on her bed before her and Kylie had to meet down at the bus in thirty minutes. "See you guys soon. Love you!"

"We love you, Caity!"

Kinnick field had been turned into a basketball court, and the fans had absolutely packed the stadium. Crossover at Kinnick was a part of history, and the Iowa basketball girls were about to make it.

Kendall Martin was currently outside the locker rooms in which the girls were settled in. Kendall Martin was running around with a headset on, in black slacks and a loose black blazer, a fitted white top under. Her hair blew behind her as she ran around the tunnel, directing cameras in authorized places and pushing press out of the tunnel. She was out of breath, but the job was fun.

"Tunnel clear and organized, ready for release of players," spoke Kendall into the headset, after she caught her breath. She got a positive response back, then stood with her iPad clutched to her chest and back against the wall facing the locker room door where the girls would walk out of any minute.

Kendall watched as the door to the locker room opened up, the first people out were staff and then followed the girls with their white warm ups on. The girls were hype, yelling and clapping as they ran out of the tunnel. Cameras flashed, and cameras were pointed at the girls. The seniors were last to run out.
