Life in the palace had grown busier with each passing day. Royal Alpha Jungkook and Luna Taehyung found themselves consumed by court matters that had been neglected during their absence. The war had left ripples that now needed careful handling, and the burden fell squarely on their shoulders. Jungkook, ever the strategist, had dispatched Royal Knight Hoseok and Commander Min Yoongi to the Blood Lust Clan to conduct a full investigation. Their mission was to uncover the alliances and enmities surrounding the Vampire King, to find out who stood with him and who plotted against him.

Meanwhile, Alexendrea was still missing. Not a single clue had surfaced about her whereabouts. Where had she hidden during the war? And more concerning, why? The Queens of Euphoric Land had also been dispatched to the Blood Lust Clan, seeking traces of magic that had permeated the land for years. Queen Jennie, despite her resilience, found it difficult to return to the very place where she had been violated, where every step reminded her of the dark days of her captivity. Yet duty called, and she was there, standing beside her mate, doing what was necessary for the safety of their lands.

Amidst all the chaos, however, one person wasn’t doing well—Soobin. The boy had been on edge ever since the war. Zoned out and distant, he flinched at the slightest movement, remaining defensive even when there was no threat. Only Alpha Jungkook and Luna Taehyung seemed to break through his shell, though even that was minimal.

One afternoon, after a taxing day in court, Taehyung sighed as he sat at the dining table, watching Soobin play with his food without actually eating it. His  vibrant eyes were now vacant, filled with a kind of silent torment that worried Taehyung deeply.

“Don’t you think it’s getting worse?” Taehyung’s voice was gentle but laced with concern as he turned to Jungkook. “Look at him… he hasn’t touched his food. He zones out like this all the time.”

Jungkook, seated beside him, nodded, his jaw set in thought. “It’s getting out of control. We need to find a way to help him before he shuts down completely.” His tone was firm, protective. “He needs to open up, to warm up to us more. Otherwise…”

Taehyung reached across the table, gently touching Soobin’s hand. “Soobin,” he called softly, trying to coax the boy out of his daze. “Won’t you eat? You’ve barely touched your food.”

Soobin blinked, his eyes focusing for the first time in what seemed like hours. His lips parted as if to say something, but he hesitated. Taehyung offered a gentle smile, his voice filled with warmth and encouragement. “It’s okay, Soobin. You can tell us whatever’s on your mind.”

After a long pause, Soobin finally spoke, his voice barely above a whisper. “I… I’m just not hungry. I… I’m sorry.”

“There’s nothing to be sorry about, sweetheart,” Taehyung murmured soothingly, squeezing Soobin’s hand gently. “But you need to eat to stay strong, okay? Even just a little bit.”

Jungkook’s gaze softened as he leaned forward, his tone gentle yet persuasive. “Come on, Soobin. Just a few bites, for your eomma and appa?”

Soobin nodded slowly, hesitantly picking up his fork and nibbling on a small piece of food. Taehyung sighed in relief, exchanging a hopeful glance with Jungkook. It was a small step, but it was progress.

The Moonland palace was quiet except for the faint rustling of sheets and soft gasps filling the royal bedroom. Taehyung lay sprawled on the large bed, his body flushed and trembling as Jungkook’s lips roamed over his skin, leaving a trail of possessive marks.

“Jungkook…,” Taehyung whimpered, tugging at his alpha’s hair when Jungkook bit down a little too harshly on his inner thigh. “You’ve been at this for hours…,” he gasped, arching his back as another wave of pleasure coursed through him. “Why are you so obsessed with marking me?”
