The Blue Moon Kingdom’s palace was bathed in the gentle glow of twilight, casting soft shadows along the intricate marble walls. The dining hall buzzed with the lively conversation of the royal family, but amidst the clinking of cutlery and murmured exchanges, a simmering tension hung between two brothers.

Yeonjun, now 20 years old, sat at the end of the table, his gaze locked on his younger brother, Beomgyu. The 16-year-old,who had grown into his lean, wolfish frame with a hint of raw charisma, met his older brother’s stare with a challenging glint in his eyes. The playful spark that usually colored their bickering was absent tonight.

“Stop being a fool, Beomgyu,” Yeonjun muttered darkly, fingers tapping against the polished surface of the table. His deep indigo and crimson eyes were intense, the power within him crackling just beneath the surface. “You’re going to make a mess of everything with this stupid crush.”

Beomgyu’s lips twisted into a smirk. “Is that so, Yeonjun hyung?” he drawled, leaning back in his chair with a nonchalant air that only seemed to fuel Yeonjun’s irritation. “I don’t remember asking for your opinion on my love life.”

“I’m not giving you an opinion. I’m telling you and your Alpha as your brother to stay away from Taehyun,” Yeonjun growled, his voice low but carrying a dangerous edge. “You’re too young to understand what you’re getting into.”

Beomgyu’s smile faltered for a fraction of a second before it hardened into a look of defiance. “I’m four years younger than you, not a child! And just because you’ve known Soobin is your mate since birth doesn’t mean I can’t feel things too!”

“Taehyun is our uncle’s son!” Yeonjun replied, exasperation spilling over as he leaned closer, frustration radiating from him. “You don’t even know what it means to feel like that. You have no idea how complicated it can get!”

“I’m not a kid anymore,” Beomgyu shot back, his voice rising in frustration. “Taehyun’s the only one who’s ever looked at me like I’m , more than just your little brother. I don’t care what you think, hyung. I’m going to tell him how I feel.”

The room fell silent, the tension crackling like a live wire. Soobin, who had been sitting quietly beside Yeonjun, raised an eyebrow as he glanced between the two brothers.

“Yeonjun, give it a rest,” Soobin murmured, reaching out to place a calming hand on his mate’s arm. “Beomgyu’s right; he’s not a kid anymore. He can decide who he likes.”

Yeonjun whipped his head around, eyes widening in disbelief. “You’re taking his side?” he demanded, his voice laced with disbelief and betrayal. “He’s being ridiculous, and you’re encouraging him?”

Soobin shrugged lightly, his gaze steady and unyielding. “I’m not taking sides, Yeonjun-ah. I just think you’re being too harsh. You were the same way with me when you realized you liked me. Remember how stubborn you were?”

“That’s not the point,” Yeonjun snapped, his frustration mounting. “He’s too young to understand the consequences—”

“Don’t you dare say I’m too young!” Beomgyu interjected, his voice filled with a bitterness that surprised even himself. “You think I don’t know what it’s like to have someone look at you like you’re not enough? Or to feel like your feelings are just a joke?”

“Beomgyu—”

“No, let me speak!” Beomgyu interrupted, standing up abruptly. “Taehyun’s the only one who’s ever looked at me like I’m more than just your little brother or the ‘younger Jeon.’ I don’t care what you think, hyung. I’m going to tell him how I feel.”
