The palace buzzed with an unusual tension—a palpable blend of anxiety and hope that seemed to fill the grand halls with an electric energy. It wasn’t often that the Blue Moon Kingdom’s heart beat so rapidly, but tonight was different. Tonight, Luna Taehyung was in labor, and the kingdom eagerly awaited the birth of the Royal Alpha’s firstborn.

Outside the royal infirmary, Jungkook stood with a rare look of nervousness. The Royal Alpha King, who faced down enemies without flinching, now found himself pacing restlessly. His usual calm was shattered, replaced by a mixture of worry, excitement, and an overwhelming need to be beside his mate.

Soobin lingered nearby, his gaze never leaving Jungkook. He had never seen his appa so visibly anxious, so unraveled. The young hybrid clenched his hands tightly, his sharp senses picking up on every sound, every murmur behind those closed doors. He glanced at the others gathered around—a small, intimate group of people who meant everything to Taehyung and Jungkook.

Mr. and Mrs. Kim stood a little way off, Taehyung’s parents holding hands tightly as they watched their son-in-law with understanding eyes. Park Jimin, Taehyung’s brother and soulmate, sat quietly, his little son Min Hae Jin nestled in his lap. Next to them were Jungkook’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jeon, both looking equally worried and excited. The royal families of other lands, though desperate to be there, hadn’t been able to arrive in time, but they would visit as soon as possible.

A soft murmur of reassurance broke the tense silence as Mrs. Jeon stepped forward, placing a gentle hand on her son’s arm. “He’s strong, Jungkook. Just like you. Everything will be alright.”

Jungkook managed a small smile, grateful for the comforting presence of his parents and in-laws. He glanced at the closed door again, his heart in his throat.

The minutes stretched into what felt like hours, and then, finally, the door swung open. Lady Bora, the royal healer, emerged, looking exhausted but content. The room seemed to collectively hold its breath.

“Your Majesty, it’s a Royal Alpha,” Lady Bora announced softly, a smile tugging at her lips. “Your firstborn son is blessed with the same rank as yours. Luna Taehyung and your child are both healthy and resting. You may see them now.”

For a moment, Jungkook felt the world tilt. A Royal Alpha. His son. His firstborn. He turned to Soobin, his expression breaking into a wide, joyous smile. “Did you hear that, Soobin? He’s a Royal Alpha.”

Soobin’s eyes shone with emotion. He nodded quickly, swallowing hard as he tried to speak, but no words came out. Instead, he took Jungkook’s hand and squeezed it tightly.

“Can we… can we see them, appa?” Soobin’s voice was barely a whisper, filled with awe.

Jungkook nodded, his heart pounding with a mixture of love and excitement. He turned to the others, who were all smiling with relief and joy. “Let’s go meet him.”

They entered the room quietly. The atmosphere was serene, the soft glow of the lamps casting a warm light over everything. Taehyung lay on the large bed, looking utterly exhausted but radiant, his face aglow with a gentle, serene smile. He cradled a tiny bundle in his arms, his gaze fixed lovingly on the newborn.

Jungkook approached slowly, almost as if in a dream. His gaze locked on the small form nestled against Taehyung’s chest. The baby’s skin was soft and flushed, his tiny fists clenched tightly, and his eyes—Jungkook’s breath hitched—they were open, staring up at the world with a startling awareness.

They were unlike anything Jungkook had ever seen. A striking mix of deep indigo and crimson, glowing faintly in the dim light. It was clear, even now, that this child carried an extraordinary power, a unique blend of his parents’ gifts.

Taehyung’s gaze shifted up, his smile widening as he saw Jungkook. “Look at him, Jungkook… look at our son.”

Jungkook’s heart swelled, a rush of love and pride filling him as he took in the sight of his mate and child. He reached out hesitantly, his hand trembling slightly as he gently touched the baby’s cheek.

“He’s perfect, Taehyung,” Jungkook murmured softly. “Absolutely perfect.”

Taehyung smiled tiredly, his eyes soft with adoration. He turned his gaze to Soobin, who was standing a little away, his expression a mix of awe and hesitation. “Soobin, come here,” Taehyung called gently. “Come meet your mate.”

Soobin took a few steps forward, his heart racing. He hesitated by the bedside, his eyes never leaving the baby’s tiny form. “He’s… my mate?” The words were filled with wonder.

Taehyung nodded, his smile gentle. “Yes, Soobin. He’s your mate. Would you like to hold him?”

Soobin’s breath caught in his throat. He nodded slowly, his movements deliberate and careful as he took the tiny bundle from Taehyung’s arms. The baby shifted slightly, letting out a soft, sleepy sound that made Soobin’s heart melt.

“Hello, little one…” Soobin whispered, his voice trembling with emotion. Tears welled in his eyes as he gazed down at the newborn. “I’m Soobin… I’m your mate.” He paused, blinking back the moisture in his eyes as he looked at Jungkook and Taehyung. “Can I… Can I name him?”

Jungkook and Taehyung exchanged a look, and then Jungkook nodded, his eyes filled with warmth. “Of course, Soobin. You have that right.”

Soobin’s gaze returned to the baby, his heart brimming with love and protectiveness. “Yeonjun,” he murmured softly. “Jeon Yeonjun.”

Taehyung’s smile widened, his eyes shimmering with approval. “Jeon Yeonjun… It’s perfect.”

Jungkook leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to the baby’s forehead. “Our son, Jeon Yeonjun,” he whispered. “Welcome to the world.”

Soobin’s tears finally spilled over as he held Yeonjun close, his heart aching with love. “I’ll take care of you, Yeonjun,” he promised, his voice choked with emotion. “I’ll always be there for you.”

Mr. and Mrs. Kim stepped forward, their expressions filled with joy and pride. Mrs. Kim placed a gentle hand on Soobin’s shoulder. “He’s beautiful, Soobin. You’re going to be a wonderful mate to him.”

Jungkook’s parents smiled warmly, their eyes shining with happiness as they looked at the new family. “He’s a gift,” Mrs. Jeon murmured softly, her gaze shifting between Jungkook and Taehyung. “A true blessing.”

Taehyung’s gaze softened as he looked at his parents and Jungkook’s parents. “Thank you… for being here. For welcoming our son into the world.”

Jungkook chuckled softly, turning his attention back to the baby. “Now, we just have to figure out how to take care of him. I… don’t exactly know how to handle a newborn.”

Mrs. Jeon laughed softly. “Don’t worry, Jungkook. You’ll learn quickly. And we’ll be here to help.”

Park Jimin, who had been watching quietly, finally stepped forward with a wide smile. “I think you two will do just fine,” he teased gently. He glanced at his son, Min Hae Jin, who was peering curiously at Yeonjun. “Hae Jin, say hello to your new cousin.”

Hae Jin leaned forward, his eyes wide with curiosity. “Hello, baby Yeonjun,” he whispered shyly, then looked up at his uncle. “Can I hold him too?”

Jungkook chuckled, shaking his head fondly. “Maybe later, Hae Jin. Yeonjun needs to rest.”

As the room filled with quiet laughter and soft conversations, Jungkook looked down at Taehyung, his heart overflowing with love and gratitude. He leaned in slowly, pressing a soft, tender kiss to Taehyung’s lips—a kiss that held all the emotions he couldn’t put into words.

“Thank you,” Jungkook whispered against his mate’s lips. “Thank you for giving us this beautiful gift.”

Taehyung’s eyes fluttered closed at the touch, his smile soft and full of love. “We did this together, Jungkook,” he murmured, his voice a gentle caress.

They stayed like that, sharing the quiet intimacy of the moment as their son rested peacefully in Soobin’s arms. For now, everything was perfect. Everything was complete.
