*Ink POV*

I watched Y/n as they picked up a bow and a few arrows from the attic. "What are you going to do with those?" I ask, and Y/n scoffs, "Shoot, obviously." My eyes widen as I watch them jump out the window.
Theoretically, this is the third floor. Theoretically, they could've just died before my eyes. I rush to look out and off the ledge, only to learn that there's a fire escape into the backyard, which is bordered by forest.

I follow in their footsteps, before my feet finally meet grass. Y/n was setting up targets by the time I had finally gotten down, and I watched as they shot from 20 meters. "Warm up." They jeered as I watched. 30 meters. 40. 50. 60. 70. 80 was the only one that wasn't dead-center. Y/n frowned and adjusted their bows cite a bit.
They shot again, achieving what they had been working for. "I don't usually go farther than 80 because I don't want to risk missing if something happens and I lose an arrow in the forest. I can only afford few, ya'know. I like to save 'losing them' for when I accidentally snap the shaft in two."

I watched as they set the bow down on a bow stand, taking a knife out of their pocket. It reminded me of either a Chara from the OG timeline, or Dream, practicing his best skills. Even Dream's shots and throws weren't as precise as Y/n's were.
Undyne and Alphys seemingly found the back door into the yard, because they were soon beside me, off to the side from Y/n. "Hey Ink? Can I talk to these two alone?" They ask, and I leave as asked, deciding to maybe go bother the UF brothers of the Errors.

*Your POV*

"How far are you into your plan? you ask the pair, and Alphys stutters, terrified. "f-First-t s-s-stag-ges... w-w-whyy?" Her stutter was significantly worse than before, but then again, you'd only talked to her directly once.
"It doesn't work. It won't change anything. I know you're desperate, but... The plan fails." You say coldly. "WHAT?! After everything--??" Undyne yells, but you're sure to cut her off, "You're just taking someone's eye and giving them skull-damage."

Undyne stomps away, leaving footprints in the grass. "I think I'm going to wrap this up. Mind helping?" You ask Alphys, the one remaining. She assists you in putting your stuff away, and you duck under the arm in the middle of the doorway (Alphys is short enough to just walk under it) held there by Edge.
"Weak attempt at dominance: trying to embarrass me. You're petty, and rash. Just be lucky I don't aim to kill you in the next hour." you say, and Edge walks away, his plan having thoroughly and royally backfired on him.

For the next month, everyone learns to co-exist together. Ink and Error have left due to other important stuff, but they still visit occasionally. You start trusting everyone a bit more, allowing them to be in the same room as you when you sleep (like a nap in the living room, for example). You and Fell act like buddies, and Edge has warmed up slightly.
Undyne is slightly more lenient with you than everyone else, but you really can't tell if that's because she fears you or respects you. Alphys takes joy in every day to help you train by setting everything up an hour before without you knowing (You always were like, 'huh. I guess I must've put it up before...' you don't really realize that it's her that's helping you).

*Fell POV*

Bff/n, Error (Ink's at a council meeting), Y/n and I are on the couch watching a movie. I can't help but feel guilty about lying to them Especially if Y/n's staring off into space, wondering where our AUs could've gone.

-Flashback-

"I-i d-d-don't w-ant-t to l-leave. T-there's f-food h-here." Alphys says to Queen Undyne. "I don't really want to either, but we still have an AU to save, don't we?" Alphys shakes her head, "n-Nothing h-happen-ns i-insid-de the AU-u w-when w-w-we aren't-t ther-re..."
My bro and I stare at each other. "I think we'd like to stay here. It's not as dangerous here as it is there, and we don't have many connections." I pick up the AU paper. "We should hide these. So, we'll never have to go back to how it was before. I'm sure the humans won't mind. We'll just keep it a secret. They'll never know."

-End of Flashback-

The humans are losing sleep looking for our AUs. I'm starting to consider another meeting, but we never have any time alone, because Bff/n and Y/n are always around. Thankfully, Bff/n is leaving tomorrow for home (mostly for social unwinding and meeting up with friends), and Y/n is usually busy in the basement, painting.
I slowly slip out from the piled persons ontop of me, all too busy to notice, or sleeping. I sneak up to the ones from HorrorTale, and motion for my brother, before pointing upstairs. They nod, and I do so in response. No words are needed for this exchange.

When we all meet up in the room we had originally made the deal in. "I'm thinking of telling them." I say quietly, and the HorrorTale couple gasp. "Don't you dare." Undyne growls, "Tell them of our lies."
"They aren't getting any sleep! They're constantly worrying about our AU papers, and a while ago, Ink said something about 'getting them to safety'! I don't know about you, but that's concerning!!" I rationalize.

"It's either us or them. Their safety or ours! I'm pretty sure we'd be allowed to visit- maybe they'd even supply your AU with food if you asked. We don't have to outright tell them that we lied, we can just say we found them or something!" I whisper-shout.
"You're going soft, bro." Edge says disapprovingly. "So are you!" I argue, "We all have! It's now or never!!" Alphys and Undyne stare at me dead in the eyes. "Never." They say in sync, and I turn to Edge. "Brother?" He looks down on me. "Never."
