Katsudon

The loud sounds of silence filled the dinning room. At the head of the table sat Ryomen Sukuna, the master of the estate and the King of Curses himself. His hands  were brought up to his face, trying his best to keep himself calm.

"Where is she?" A maid whispered to another, who just shrugged.

It was thirty minutes past dinner time. Normally, [Name] was there before Sukuna got there, but today, she didn't even bother to show up. Making Sukuna wait. And he didn't like waiting on other people. He believe people should wait for him, not the other way around. And right now his patience is running on a thin line.

[Name]'s eyes started to slowly fluttered open. Huh? She thought while sitting up on the bed she was on. Oh, yeah. She rubbed her tired eyes, before getting up from the bed.

I fell asleep. [Name] walked out of the room she was in and into the hallway. What time is it?

The sounds of the grandfather clock ticking echoed off the walls of the hallway, and the footsteps from outside became louder the closer she got.

The maids slightly flinched when the door to the dinning room was forcefully opened.

God why is that door so heavy? She thought walking into the dinning room. She felt the eyes of the maids on her as she walked in.

"You're late." Sukuna said, not even looking at her as she walked by. "You better have a good explanation."

His eyes widened slightly when he finally looked at her.  [Name] sat down across from him and looked down at the empty spot on the table where the plate was supposed to be.

"I'm sorry, I--"

"That Kimono." He said, catching [Name] off gaurd. She looked up at and touched the soft fabric. "Do you like it." [Name] nodded slowly.

"Yes." She said, "I like it. It's beautiful." Sukuna nodded, watching her like a hawk, his eyes not leaving her. "I've never had something as nice as this before, thank you."

"Good."

The kitchen door opened and two maids came out with trays in their hands.

"Tonight's dinner is katsudon." Uraume announced, following the two maids out of the kitchen. "With the finest red wine from France, 1919."

Wow, that old? Is it even safe to drink? [Name] wondered, looking at the bottle of wine in Uraume hands. But then her eyes averted over to the one maid, who [Name] recognized to be Saori, Shibuki's sister. She walked over to Sukuna and placed down the tray infront of him. And then the other maid, Suma, Shibuki's other sister placed the tray infront of [Name].
The girl gave a silent 'thank you' before Suma could walk away.

Uraume then walked over to Sukuna's side first to pour the wine into his glass.
When she was finished, she walked over to [Name].

"I suppose you wouldn't want some?" Uraume said, causing [Name] to think. It's been a very long day. She thought to herself. A little won't hurt, right?

"I'll--I'll have some." She said, shocking Uraume--and even Sukuna, a little. For the amount of weeks [Name] has been in the estate, she always denied the glass of wine. What makes today different? Uraume couldnt help but wonder.
"It's been a long day." The girl mumbled, holding out her glass.

"Very well then." Uraume tilted the bottle so the wine could flow into [Name]'s glass.

"Oh?" Sukuna said, taking a sip from his glass. "What's the occasion?"

[Name]'s eyes shot up to look at Sukuna. A hint of anger in her eyes.

"I can't have some now?" [Name] asked tilting her head to the side. "All the other days I've got offered, but why can't I have soon today?"

Sukuna looked her up and down with a look of disappointment on his face.
"I suggest you shut your mouth. I don't like your attitude, and it's no way to talk to a king." He said, now sitting up straight in his chair. [Name] scoffed.

"Well I don't like your face. You've been quite literally hunting me before I even got here. And let's not forget about the fact that you kidnapped me. Let me try to enjoy this cup of 100 year old wine. Thanks."

The maids were shocked. Uraume, shocked. Sukuna...pissed.

"You know I can take away all of your privileges, right? I can take away your food privileges and you can just sit there and watch me eat while you get nothing." Sukuna threatened. [Name] sat up and crossed her arms. "You know you can go back to the cellar under the estate, right?"

"Go ahead. Do it." [Name] knew she was walking on thin ice, yet she continued anyways, "It's not the first time you'll do it. And it certainly won't be the last, knowing you."

[Name] sat back, and took a big sip from the glass.
The wine didn't taste so good, but after that tantrum she just threw, she better finish it. But deep inside, she felt a bit better that practically confornted him.

Sukuna and [Name] just sat there. Not moving, no words were being spoken and not a singel sound was hear. It was so quiet that you could probably hear a grain of rice fall to the ground. Even the grandfather clock in the corner stopped ticking. They just starred at each other.

"Are you done?" Sukuna asked, still looking at the girl.

"For now." She responded, looking back at him. He grumbled something under his breath before picking up his chopsticks and began to pick at his Katsudon. [Name] didn't move. Instead she sat there and folded her arms again.

Sukuna noticed this and rolled his eyes.

"What's wrong with you now, woman?"

"I thought my eating privileges were gone."

"I said I could take it away. I never said I did take it away."

[Name] resisted the urge to smile, knowing that she obviously got Sukuna frustrated. So she picked up her pair of chopsticks and began eating her Katsudon.
