THE GROUP CAME back together, merging together as one group. Carter didn't make it back with them and Annie had fallen and twisted her ankle. Yet, they continued moving as half of the hoard continued to walk behind them. Lillian stayed close to Glenn and Colton as they continued to run. Her nerves calmed slightly as they got further but the loud horn gave her an eerie feeling that something was seriously wrong. They slowed their pace to a stop at the top of the hill.
"Alright, listen up. Here's the new plan." Rick announced as he stood in front of the group. "I go back, get the RV, circle around the woods on Redding. I'll get in front of them before they get there. I can lead them away again."
"RV is a mile back. I can go with you." David offered.
"I'll handle it. Just go home. They might need you there." Rick then looked between Glenn and Michonne. "Glenn, Michonne." He called before he turned and began to walk away to speak to the two more privately. Lillian turned to Colton, he had a hard look on his face as he looked at the woods towards home.
"I have a really bad feeling." She whispered over to him.
"Whatever it is, we'll handle it." Colton assured her. Lillian nodded at him, even though it didn't ease her nerves. Suddenly there was a scream from behind them, a man's scream. Lillian was quick to pull her knife from her holster clinching it tight in her hands as she followed after Rick, Michonne, and Glenn who all ran quickly over to the scene. A walker had gotten a hold of one of the men. Rick was quick to pull the walker off, Michonne quickly drove her katana through it head. Lillian's face scrunched slightly in disgust. The damage had already been done. The man was bleeding out from his neck. Michonne drove her katana through his head next, Lillian quickly turned her head away as she did to avoid the sight. Suddenly the loud blaring came to a stop, causing Lillian to look back towards the woods near home.
"The horn stopped. Good." Rick commented before he walked around the walker to the now deceased man, stripping him of his weapons. "Get back safe." He told the group before he stood up, breaking off into the woods.
The group got back on track, walking instead of running this time as Michonne lead the path back home. Glenn had Annie's arm wrapped around his shoulder as he helped her walk. Colton was to the side of the group, a couple of feet difference as his eyes scanned the area, a knife clinched in his hands. Lillian worried about why he would rather walk apart then in the group but Michonne made sure to keep a good eye on him, glancing over at him frequently, Glenn too.
"We're ahead of it. 10 minutes. 20 minutes, maybe." Glenn announced.
"We all keep up the pace, we all get back home." Michonne added. Lillian stepped lightly as she walked between Heath and Annie.
"So if we don't thats it, huh?" Heath asked.
"We don't even know what's waiting for us." Sturgess added.
"It's gonna be okay. We have walls for a reason." David assured.
"That sound. Maybe someone plowed through. Maybe we're walking back to nothing." Sturgess stressed.
"Shh, my wife's back there." David shushed.
"Mine, too. Look, don't worry about what's gone wrong. Figure out how to make this go right." Glenn told them.
"We're moving in the same direction of everything else. We're gonna catch up with something." Scott brought up from beside Michonne. Lillian glanced over at Colton, he was still walking strong and high alert in his path.
"We're gonna catch up with a lot of things and we're gonna end them. We have no choice. We gotta keep going forward." Michonne told them sternly.
They kept walking until they caught up to a group of walkers, a dozen or so. Lillian clinched her knife tight in her fists as she walked with her knees bent slightly to quiet her steps. The group came to a stop, Glenn let go of Annie and handed off the backpack.
