17 - the finale ♡

"w-what."

"you heard what i said autumn. will you marry me." winter smiled, bending down onto one knee.

autumn froze. he was the love of her life. she wanted to marry hin but what if people didnt approve. after all, they hadnt even been together a year. but then she remembered how he got her through EVERYTHING. the loss of there child, her father. every little bit of trouble she has had, winter helped her.

"yes. winter fortune i will marry you." autumn smiled.

"really?"

"really. together we can be the fortune-knights." autumn kissed winters cheek.

autumn never showed much emotion. you should have learnt that by now. but today she had to. and same with winter. he never even let a tear out of his eye. but today, his eyes were teary. tears of pure joy.

"to be honest sweetheart. i didnt expect that here would be the place i proposed. and definetely not the circumstance." winter wiped his eyes.

"well darling it was perfect. i was doing something i love, and protecting you at the same time." autumn smirked.

the wedding was going to be the next day.  since it was only enlopement no one would be there, apart from two witnesses.

almost instantly they went outfit shopping. winter had already booked a venue months ago. the wedding would be held under candlelight in a woodland. autumns dream wedding. secluded, natural and alone. he had wanted to ask her for a long time. but he could never find the moment.

"hello. i am looking for a wedding dress." autumn said.

"im so sorry this is a funeral sho-"

"i know. and as i said. i want a dress for my wedding." autumn said, her eyes narrowing by the minute.

"we wont need assistance. me and my partner will be just fine." winter smiled, lightening the mood.

"o-okay."

they didnt need long to find the perfect dress. a long silky black dress, that trailed on the floor. it was lined with lace, and it came with a black headband.

"oh autumn. you are breathtaking. that dress is-"

"beautiful?"

"it is so beautiful. infact, you look even more beautiful in it." winter smiled.

they quickly bought the dress and moved onto the next shop. winters suit.

they went into ralph lauren. winter did protest, however autumn believed the love of her life should get the perfect suit. a made to measure suit, one that would last him forever.

it was a simple white shirt, long black trousers and a black blazer. it looked effortless, yet classy and expensive.

"£1200 please." the cashier said with a smile.

without hesitation, autumn swiped her debit card causing the bill to go to her.

winters jaw dropped, if he knew autumn was paying he qould have got a cheaper one.

"aut i-"

"dont worry my love. my treat. plus you payed for the ceremony so i can atleast buy the clothes." autumn replied.

winter didnt argue. not beacause he agreed autumn should pay. but he realised how happy this made autumn. after everything that had occured she finally had a smile on her face. and that is something no one would take from her.
