I finally broke the silence, addressing Ruhi's statue-like form.
"What's wrong?"
Ruhi's expression didn't change, but her voice dripped with fake amusement.
"Oh, I was just wondering the same thing - what's wrong?"
I knew she was angry with me and Krish for not inviting her to our stunt at the Raichand mansion the night before.
"Do you really need to overreact like this?" I asked, gesturing with my hand.
She pointed a finger at herself. "Am I overreacting? Me?"
Tina tried to intervene, attempting to calm the situation.
"Guys, please keep your voices down. We're in public."
Krish chimed in, trying to lighten the mood. "You both are fighting like children over such a small issue."
Ruhi rolled her eyes at me, and I returned the gesture.
Krish let out a sigh of relief, grateful the tension had dissipated slightly. "Let's order something," he said, calling the waiter over.
Ruhi began scrolling through her phone, her expression still stern.
Tina turned to me, curiosity in her voice. "So, Aarti, what did Mr. Raichand say? Did he forgive you?"
My mind flashed back to the previous night's encounter. Mr. Raichand's words echoed in my mind:
"Just leave from my sight right now without saying anything... I don't want anyone to spoil my sister's wedding, so it's better if you leave from the door."
My anger resurfaced, and I clenched my fist tightly.
How dare he speak to me like that?
Krish's voice brought me back to the present. "Aaru?" he said, waving his hand in front of my face.
I snapped out of my reverie, responding absently. "Huh?"
We started our meal in the cafeteria, Krish spoke up, looking at all of us.
"I need to create a reel, and I'll need a partner for it."
"Ruhi is a great influencer, why don't you make it with her?" Tina suggested.
But both Krish and Ruhi immediately rejected the idea, saying, "NO WAY"
"I'll make a better Instagram reel myself," krish muttered under his breath.
We continued eating in silence until Ruhi suddenly spoke up,
"Kiara bhabhi has uploaded a picture with her brothers for the first time."
Ruhi chuckled, looking at her phone, and Tina added, "That's great."
Tina then said, "Mr. Raichand is quite handsome, don't you think?" looking at the picture.
