It was the first morning after the wedding, and the last morning before departing for Mumbai, I couldn't help but reflect on the memories I'd made here. I solemnly swore that I would miss this place dearly.
But why did these memories, once so beautiful, turn bitter and begin to haunt us Because I missed this place so much.
All the guests have already left, and now the palace is only occupied by our family, Rudra's family, Divya Suryawanshi, and her son - whose name I think I've forgotten - they're still here and are about to leave.
Seated in my room, I was busy reviewing the hotel's arrangements and attending to other pending tasks that had taken a backseat due to the wedding festivities. Thankfully, with Tina by my side, I had no reason to worry, as she was efficiently handling everything.
I stepped out of my room because I didn't want to waste my last day cooped up inside. Rudra? He's probably still asleep. I haven't spoken to him since yesterday; I just didn't get the chance.
I headed downstairs and found half the family already gathered there - my mom, Rashmi aunty, Kiara bhabhi, and Ranvijay uncle and Rudra's bhua. It looked like they were preparing to leave.
"Are bas bas, itna bahot hua bhaiya, pehle hi teen bag bhar gye he", she said to ranvijay uncle as he was give so much sweets and gifts.
(Gosh! that's enough, brother, three bags are already packed)
"It's okay, this is just a small gift. Don't say anything about it now." He said and she smiled looking at Rashmi aunty as she was sitting near her. My mom gestured me to sit down.
"Tell Bhaisahab that I'm upset with him; he didn't attend the wedding." Uncle complaint with a look and his sister nodded with a understanding face.
"Or bhua veeranshu bhi nhi aaya meri shadi me, kehna usse ki me bhi ab nhi aaungi", Kiara bhabhi's expression turned serious, revealing her distress.
(And Veeranshu Bhai didn't attend my wedding either. Tell him I won't be coming to his wedding either)
"Beta tum to jaanti ho na veeranshu kesa he? Vo kabhi apne kaam ko nhi chodega, use pura karke hi maanta he", she tried to reason with her holding bhabhi's hand.
(Child, you know Veeranshu's nature, don't you? He never leaves his work unfinished; he only considers it done when it's complete.)
They were talking like this, and honestly, I couldn't understand much of what they are saying. I was hearing the names of people for the first time, they are speaking about.
Divya Suryawanshi seems nice, and so is her nature. Still, her family is our rival, and in this business circle, we can't even communicate with good people. This is just wrong.
Rudra appeared, coming downstairs, and I gazed at him for a few seconds as he rolled up his sleeves while walking. Everyone's attention shifted to him, and he approached with a smile.
