Ab jeena nahin tere bina

Sang rehna mujhe hai tere qareeb

Meri dhadkan tumhin, saansein bhi

Bas kehta hai tumse yahi

"Meri banogi kya? Meri rahogi kya?"

I trudged along beside Kiara bhabhi, my eyes glazing over as she tried on yet another necklace. "What do you think?" she asked, posing in front of the mirror.

"Mmm-hmm," I murmured, pretending to care.

We'd been at the jewelry shop for what felt like an eternity. The wedding preparations were in full swing, and today was all about finding the perfect accessories.

Rishabh bhai, Kiara's husband, looked equally unenthused, but he humored her, nodding and smiling as she showed him each new piece.

Just as it seemed like we were finally done, I spotted a staircase leading up to the next floor. "Hey, bhai, isn't that the VIP section?" I asked, trying to sound nonchalant.

Rishabh shot me a warning glance. "Don't even think about it."

But Kiara's eyes lit up. "Ooh, let's go see!"

I grinned innocently as Rishabh reluctantly followed Kiara upstairs.

As soon as they were out of sight, I let out a sigh of relief.

Thank God.

I let out a sigh of relief as I waited for Rudra's arrival. I busied myself by browsing through the rows of glittering jewelry.

My eyes landed on a beautiful necklace, and I asked the sales associate to show it to me.

As I tried it on, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. The necklace sparkled against my skin, and I couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement. I was lost in thought when my phone buzzed, snapping me back to reality.
