I say holding kamilla's hand while we waited on the nurse. She said they were running tests so I'm expecting to be here for a while.
I laid down a little and watched TikTok on my phone.
"hey love." Kamilla said stand kng up out her chair.
"Always live. Like I fly. Think there's anybody that goes live more than you everyday." I said laughing.
She put me in her camera and told the people that I was in the hospital. She so dramatic I swear. I grabbed her phone and began talking to the people.
"yall im just getting some tests done. But I'm okay." I said handing her the phone back. I laid back down and seen that Jackie had texted me.
MYLOVEE🩷🫶🏾- can't wait for you to come watch I miss you!🥰. Practice is going good too! 💘 what are you doing ?
LOVER💘🤞🏾- hospital. Getting some tests ran on my belly.

LOVER💘🤞🏾- wouldn't be getting test done to find out what's wrong with me if I knew what was wrong with me.
LOVER💘🤞🏾- but I was bleeding from my nose and throwing up. Had some pretty bad stomach pains but I'll be okay.
MYLOVEE🩷🫶🏾- don't sound like anything I've heard before. but ig.
LOVER💘🤞🏾- ain't gotta lie but sure. not finna stress me out on my cellular device.

I closed my phone and I just thought about how it was when me and Jackie first met. Can't believe I actually thought we would last. Out relationship hasn't been the same since the first cut off.
"you look like you're thinking a lot." Kamilla said touching my thigh.
"I am. Not about what might be wrong but about me and Jackie." I said shrugging.
She got off live and was all ears ready to listen to me. I love having friends that listen, I just wish I had a girlfriend that listens.
"what's wrong? You can talk to me but I'm not gonna force you to if you don't want to." She said being polite .
"Jackie's mad because I told her I can't wait to watch her play and she thought I meant I was flying out and that's definitely not what I meant." I said stopping for a second to breathe.
"does she know that your hospitalized right now?" Kamilla asked in a serious tone.
"yea she knows but she's still upset. I don't get her. Who hurt her. She's always mad at the world." I said shaking my head.
Me and kamilla talked more about my relationship and then the doctor came in. We've been her for a long time so I hope this is it.
"okay so we ran a whole lot of test to try and figure out what the problem is and how we can fix it. So we first did a scan for any stomach tumors or stomach cancer of any type and it's no cancer." She finished before I got happy and smiled.
"BUT-" she said in the middle of my happiness.
"the results of your tests are back. We couldn't see clear on the scan thing so we had to wait before we gave inaccurate information, but it appears you have a peptic ulcer." The nurse said spitting her words out right at me.
"A peptic ulcer? What does that mean?"
I said confused.
"It's a sore that forms on the lining of your stomach or the first part of your small intestine. It can cause a lot of pain and discomfort." She said explaining the front part
"How did this happen? I've been feeling so stressed lately, but I didn't think it would lead to something like this." I said putting my head in my hands. I knew it couldn't have been good that's why I didn't want to come here.
"Stress can definitely be a contributing factor, along with other things like diet and certain medications. The important thing now is to manage it properly." She said nodding her head and speaking so slowly.
"What do I need to do?" I said thinking this would be like a 1-2 day healing process.
"You'll need to follow a special diet, avoid certain foods and drinks, and take medication to help heal the ulcer. The doctor will go over everything with you in more detail." She said smiling and then walking out.
I waited for the doctor to come in the room which only took about 3 minutes. I so nervous. I don't know what's a peptic ulcer is and I wouldn't really like to find out but it seems like I really have no choice.
"Hey, so, I understand the nurse has already informed you about the peptic ulcer." He said before I spoke up.
"Yes, she did. What do I need to do to get better?" I said anxiously.
"First, you'll need to take medication to reduce stomach acid and promote healing. You'll also need to make some lifestyle changes, including your diet. Avoid spicy foods, caffeine, and alcohol." He said before taking a breath cause he kind of big so he run out of energy quick.
"Okay, I can do that. Anything else?" I said knowing we're to the end and he's not said anything about playing basketball.
"Yes, there's something else we need to discuss. Given the severity of your ulcer, you might need to take some time away from basketball and other strenuous activities to allow your body to heal." he didn't look at me when he said it cause I think he knew how I'd react.
"Pardon me, time away from basketball? But it's such a big part of my life. How long are we talking?" I said being ready to tear up.
"It could be a few weeks to a couple of months, depending on how quickly you heal. It's important to give your body the rest it needs to recover fully." He explained to me using his hands.
"bruh ion wanna hear that shii, but I understand. I'll do whatever it takes to get better. maybe. If it comes down to it though I'm playing my game and ain't nothing but dying gone stop that." I said wishing I hadn't.
"That's not the best attitude to have, Chennedy. We'll monitor your progress closely and adjust your treatment plan as needed. Just focus on your recovery for now." He said being sincere.
"Thank you, I guess. I'll do my best to follow all the instructions." I said knowing I'm gonna still play basketball.
This been pending in the drafts yall! I know this book is kind of sucking at the moment and I might delete it and just start a new Jackie book all together cause it's just a jumble of HOT MESS! should I? Let me know!
