Branch and Poppy One Shot

A Surprise

Poppy has some news for Branch.

Early one morning in Troll Village, Poppy was asleep in the arms of her boyfriend when she all of a sudden felt sick she quietly got up as not to disturb Branch and ran to the bathroom and started blowing up chunks for a few minutes then she felt better she went to go lay back down since it was an hour before she had to be up as she laid back down she felt Branch move.

''You ok pops?" he asked sleepily.

''Yeah, guess last night's supper didn't agree with me.'' she said.

''I'm sorry, I won't make it again.'' He said pulling her close and cuddling.

''It's alright, I'm ok.'' She said as she fell back asleep.

Later on, that morning Poppy was busy with the blue prints she was gonna show to the counsel when she felt it coming on again, she grabbed the trash can and hurled finally she stopped pulled herself up to see her dad the former king Peppy watching her with concern.

''Poppy, I think you should go lay down I'll take over for the day you look so tired and pale.'' He said.

''I'm fine dad, I feel much better, I'll be alright, but I got to go see ya.'' With that Poppy left for the meeting.

When she got there the meeting started and Poppy presented the blueprints for putting in a pool with safety features that Branch came up with who was also there at the meeting and after the meeting was adjourned everyone left besides Poppy who was getting ready to leave when she felt it again. She ran to the bathroom and when she came out there stood Branch.

''Poppy, I think you should see the doctor your pale and you're throwing up this morning and just now, come on I'll take you.'' Branch said as they continued to walk when Poppy's legs gave out on her, and Branch carried her to Dr. Plums office then went to supervise the pool they were working on.

''Tell me Poppy what are you feeling at the moment?'' Asked Dr. Plum

''Well, I feel fine right now a bit weak.'' She said.

''How long has this been going on?''

''For a couple days now.'' Poppy said.

''I see here, Poppy opens your mouth, and I will swab your mouth.''

Poppy did as she was told and then Dr. Plum said ''I'll be back shortly.''

Poppy sat there for about 20 minutes waiting wondering what was wrong she hopped she wasn't dying then the door opened, and Dr. Plum came in smiling.

''Well, I found out what's wrong.'' She said.

''Am I dying?''

''No Poppy your sickness will happen for a while 9 months to be exact.'' Plum said.

''What then what's wrong?'' Poppy asked.

''You and Branch are going to be parents, congratulating.'' Plum said.

Poppy was shocked but smiled ''thank you Dr. Plum.'' And she left.

Poppy was excited she was gonna be a mother, what made her nervous was how was she gonna tell Branch sure they been dating for a year and a half, she went to find Branch and saw him working on the pool. So, she went back to work she'd tell him later.

Later that night Poppy was wearing a yellow sun dress and was on her way to tell Branch the news. When she got there, she was about to knock when the door opened and Branch was standing there wearing casual clothes ''Poppy I was just coming to get you, we need to talk, and I thought we could go out and talk.''

Poppy gulped 'I hope he's not breaking up with me.'

''Its nothing bad I promise.'' Branch said watching her face so they walked and finally sat under the stars and Poppy couldn't hold it in anymore. ''Branch there something I need to tell you.''

''What is it?'' He asked.

''I found out what is wrong with me.'' She said nervously.

''What is it?'' Asked Branch as he held her hands.

''I'm pregnant, with your kid.'' She said.

Branch flashback.

'Him and Poppy were laying down a few weeks ago watching the stars under the willow tree and they leaned into kiss, and it became heated, and clothes started coming off and they fell asleep outside that night cuddling.

Flashback ends.

Branch was still in shock and was quiet for a while suddenly he smiled and hugged Poppy.

''I'm so happy I'm gonna be a dad and you a mom, I guess this makes things easier the reason I brought you out her is to he got on his knee and said ''Poppy I've been wanting to do this for a while will you marry me?''

''Yes, I will.''

Months later King Branch was in the room with Poppy as she was giving birth and finally the dr. said.

''Congratulations on your twins.'' He said. Branch and Poppy were surprised and happy they got to hold their little ones.

''What should we name them?'' Poppy asked.

''Well let's call this one Willow.'' Willow was a little girl with pink skin and magenta eyes like her mother, and violet hair like her dad's.

''That sounds wonderful and let's name this on Basil.'' Basil was a baby boy with teal skin and icy eyes like his dad's, but his hair was pink the same color as Poppy's skin.

Branch and Poppy were so happy they had Willow and Basil and each other life could have gotten better.
