Basically Poppy has been avoiding Branch and now that she is free from her ex she goes to see her closest friend only to realize something...

One morning A young girl with pink hair named Poppy was drinking a coffee on her way to visit a very close friend one who she cared about a lot she had more free time to visit her friends since her break up with her ex-Creek as he was a selfish guy who never let her hang with her friends. She walks up to a small apartment that would be missed by most she went in and up the stairs to apartment number 6 and heard some music coming from the room she knocked on the door and she waited suddenly the door was answered by a young boy with dark hair and a faded green hoodie who looked surprised to see the girl.

''Hi Branch, how are you?'' She asked as she walked into the room.

''Hello to you too Poppy I'm doing fine just relaxing on my day off. So, what brings you here?'' He asked a bit annoyed.

''Well, I came to see a close friend of mine and to make sure he is still breathing.'' She said.

''Funny I didn't think you cared all I got was texts blowing off hanging out together.'' He said not looking at her.

''Yes, I was busy, but I got all the time in the world now since me and Creek are no longer together.'' She said with a sigh and looked around at the pictures on the wall with her and Branch with their friends and another picture of them working on a project.

The young man looked at her a bit sad but not surprised he knew they wouldn't last. ''I'm sorry to hear that Poppy.'' He said trying not to do a dance.

''Eh it not bad he was annoying anyway so what have you been doing lately Branch?'' She asked sitting on his couch while he was doing dishes.

''Oh, not much the usual working and then coming home and writing songs and stuff like that.'' He said going over to his piano.

''Oh yeah how is the music store Branch?'' She asked.

''Still standing and things are good I'm surprised you haven't been in there for awhile.'' He said.

''Yeah Creek didn't really like that shop too much never said why though.'' She said.

Branch smirked a bit and frowned, the only reason Creek didn't like it was Branch worked there and they hated each other.

''Oh, what is this?'' She asked picking up a notebook with songs and lyrics in them.

Branch looked at them and tried to take them, but the happy girl held it out of his reach. ''Nope what is it?''

''A book with a song I have recently been working on.'' He said taking it away.

''Have you finished it yet?'' She asked.

''Yes, actually I just finished the rest of its last night and was gonna try it out.'' He said as he grabbed his guitar.

''Mind if I stay and listen?'' She asked looking at him with puppy dog eyes.

''Well, you're already here and I could use an opinion and who better then you Poppy.

He started his guitar and started singing.

'Said all I want from you is to see you tomorrow, every tomorrow maybe you'll let me borrow your and is it too much to ask for every Sunday and while were at it every other day to start. I know people made promises all the time and then they turn around and break then someone cuts your heart open with knife and your bleeding but I could be that guy to heal it over time and I won't stop until you believe it cause baby your worth it so...

Don't act like it's a bad thing to fall in love with me you might look around and find your dreams come true with me spent all your time and your money just to find out that my love is real so don't act like it's a bad thing to fall in love with me..me.me.. I know people make promises all time and then turn right around and break them then someone cut your heart open with a knife and your bleeding. Branch finished and looked at Poppy who had tears in her eyes and was smiling.

''That was beautiful Branch I can't believe you wrote that all on your own.'' She said.

''Well, I had a bit of help it expresses how this guy's feels about someone and he gives her reason to fall in love with him instead of the other guy. To be honest Poppy that song was for you about you when I saw you dating Creek, I was heartbroken, and he knew full well I was gonna ask you to be my girlfriend and jumped on it.'' He said looking at her with a sad smile.

Poppy was shocked and she went up and hugged Branch tightly still crying. ''I'm so sorry I put you though all of this I should of stuck with my heart and went for you instead your the better match for me.''

Branch couldn't believe it he hugged her back tightly. ''I have missed you Poppy so much.'' He said.

''I've missed you Branchie this is a song that you should play it's worth it.'' She said.

''I'm glad you think so come on let's take it to the music shop and show the others.'' He said pulling her hand but was pulled back and he was kissed by the pink haired girl he kissed her back wrapping his arms arounds her they pulled away.

''Branch I want to know do you want to be my boyfriend?'' She asked.

''As long as you don't dump me for another guy.'' He said.

''Don't worry I won't.'' She said laughing as they left the place to go show his song to others.
