It all started one seemingly innocent morning, were I woke up expecting the day to go as normal. I slipped out of bed, pausing to stretch and feel the cool air surround me before I left to the kitchen. I opened the fridge and poured myself a glass orange juice, turned back to put the jug back into the fridge. When I returned to my glass I noticed the liquid moving as if there was an earthquake eminent. It was only moments after this notion that I felt the ground shake tremendously, my cupboards opened, glasses and plates crashing down, pictures falling off of the walls. I felt more tremors, but it wasn't those of an earthquake, but someone was conjuring them.

I opened my front door to see who or what was causing the commotion, only to notice that across the street a man in a shiny helmet was floating above, shapes from the earth arising to surround him. For some reason today I was feeling brave, either that or suicidal, and I decided to approach the chaos. If someone was destroying the interior of my house I deserved to see who they were. I looked around to see the cars of the street being lifted and thrown, I decided to use this as a warning that if i wanted to approach I should now or forever hold my peace. I crouched down, holding my hands behind my head in order to try protect myself. When I eventually crossed the street, hidden behind some shrubbery, my heart dropped as I noticed who it all was that was causing the chaos.

Floating above me was none other than Magneto, the metal manipulating mutant who had already caused so many issues on this plain plain of existence. A loud crash brought me back to reality, and just then I noticed who the cars were being hurled at. None other then the X-Men. Just as the car was about to hit, it was stopped by Storm who threw it back in the elderly mans direction. Despite saving the heroes from being crushed, Magneto simply took control of the motor vehicle and sent it flying directly into the front of my house. I whipped my head into its direction, my jaw dropped and my only thought was that I hoped insurance insurance covered mutant attacks.

"Ok, shit..fuck" I grumbled under my breath, and I continued closer, using debris to shield me from the assailants.

The ground continued to tremble beneath me, and I peeked over the debris to see what was happening. I watched as Cyclops sent some of Magnetos helpers flying backwards, Quick Silver grabbing them and restraining them once he had moved on. My head turned to the viscous animal that was Wolverine, and I watched as he took on 5 mutants single handedly. I then, once more watched as Storm conjured intense winds, aiming them directly towards Magneto. His head whipped back, his helmet dropping to the ground. What followed was the voice of Charles Xavier shouting "Please Erik! Just let me help you!"

The mans hand was pressed to his temple, enacting some of his telepathic tricks now that the metal helmet was out of the picture. Behind him I saw the helmet starting to raise upwards, as Magneto tried to evade the telepaths efforts to stop the chaos. If he succeeded this could go on for much longer, more houses being destroyed and countless casualties. I jumped atop my hiding place, and put my hand towards Erik, causing him to fall, hitting the ground.

"Restrain him or something! I don't know how long I can hold him for!" I shouted at the top of my lungs to the X-men, my hand reached towards the man in order to prevent him from regaining conscious thought.

Xavier appeared in my mind "It's ok, I can hold him"

I looked up to see many of the X-men finished in battle, the enemy had been stopped, many killed in fact. I met their Gazes before falling to the ground of overexertion.
