I awoke on a metal table, monitors attached and a man looming over me. Once he noticed I was awake, he gave a slight start, opening his mouth to say something before the professor appeared. "(Y/n), you're finally awake! I must say you helped us a great deal today. Seeing that you fainted it seemed only right that we take you in and ensure your health to return the favor".

I sat up slightly, looking at the blue-ish room around me, "Thank you professor X, it is truly an honor to meet you" I started, not exactly knowing what to say to the men that had saved hers and civilizations lives many times before, I opened my mouth to speak once more before the professor started speaking once more.

"The honor is all mine, I must say anytime it excites me every time I cross paths with a fellow telepath" The professor smiled, thinking back to the events that had previously took place.

"I hate to break it to you, but I'm no telepath, I just have the ability to create major brain fog, so much so that those I use my ability on face such mental exhaustion it affects them physically. I've never been able to use it for anything further." I said matter-a-factly, hoping that my words wouldn't disappoint one of the worlds most well known mutants.

"Oh (Y/n)" he started, I wasn't to question how he knew my name, he probably looked in my head. "I know a telepath when I see one. Now I know your concern is growing as to where you will go after this, considering your house was destroyed amongst the chaos. This is why I offer you this, residency and education. I know you are well aware of what my institution provides for young mutants, and I am happy to invite you stay with us as long as you would like." He stated, leaving me with mixed emotions.

"First of all, I think I'm a little too old for education, I'm in my 20s, wouldn't that put me much older than most of the students here?" I stated, slowing my speech to ensure my words were placed properly, I think my head during my fall. " And second of all, I would greatly appreciate if you asked my permission before reading my mind"

"I get that more often than you would think, I am a man of many expertise but there are always things that need working on, stopping myself from mind reading being at the top of the list" he started, looking over to the man who was examining me before. "We understand your concern over your age, but for what we want to teach you it will not matter" He paused, looking once more at the man, watching as he grew into a larger, blue and hairy Beast. "We want to train you, to work on your powers to unlock their full potential, giving you control over them. We want you to be an X-men."

My jaw dropped, I never thought that I would be in the same room as two of the famous X-men, but to be offered to join the team? They're asking me for things that I don't even think I'm capable of. I thought that all my powers were able to accomplish was to throw a blanket over the minds of others, making them incapable of cohesive thought or movement. "I, uhm, I think I hit my head pretty hard. Can I have some time to think about this? More so I just need time to think over everything that's happened within what, like the last day? I need to make sure that this is all real. Plus I don't even know that I'm actually capable of achieving anything beyond what I can already do-"

The professor nodded, "I understand your concerns, please take all the time that you need to think this over. Hank can show you too your living quarters" He said politely, nodding towards Beast, or Hank.

Hank helped me off of the table escorting me to new room. "Here it is" He smiled, "If you need anything at all, my room is down the hall and to the left."

I gave Hank a smile, thanking him for his aid, before my attention shifted to the man who was exiting the room across from mine. He gave me a short glance, his brows furrowed and jaw clenched. His intimidating appearance made me sink back into myself, before letting out an awed mutter under my breath "Wolverine.."
