The alarms suddenly started blaring once more, "That you?" Logan inquired, turning his head towards Jean.
Before she could open her mouth to answer, a puff of smoke appeared and Cyclops and Nightcrawler were revealed from the fog. "We need to leave, now" Cyclops ordered hurriedly.
His eyes narrowed, brows furrowing in confusion, "Where's Haze?" he asked, his voice cutting through the chaos, only for Nightcrawler to quickly grab onto him in order to follow Cyclops' orders.
Logan quickly pulled away his arm, "I said, WHERE is Haze" he demanded urgently.
Storm matched his level of concern, "She's still in there isn't she?" she interrogated, concern lacing her voice.
"We need to get back to the jet" Cyclops deflected his tone steady, "We'll explain once we're in there and we can figure out how to get her back."
Logan growled, clenching his jaw, "We can't just leave her here, god knows what Magneto and his minions will do with her."
Suddenly there was hand on Logans back, and before he could react they were transported back onto the jet. "We lost Haze, we need to get back to form a game plan so we can get her back" Cyclops informed the professor and Beast.
"No, what we need to do it get back down there and rescue her" Logan combatted, giving Cyclops and deathly glare as he stepped up towards him.
"How did you even lose her in the first place?" Storm demanded worriedly for her friend.
"We found the room where the professor believed the Artifact was held," Cyclops started, looking towards Xavier, "we started to look around. She must've sensed someone was approaching, but as soon as she started to warn us some sort of trap set by Magneto was triggered." Scott explained his gaze flicking between the Professor and Storm, "We had to get out of there, there were too many of his followers, we wouldn't've made it out alive" He finished, finally sending back a glare to Logan.
"Some leader you are bub" Logan sneered, his face red with anger, "What would Magneto want from her anyway?" he asked, looking towards the Professor.
"She may be the key he needs to activate the artifact" The professor muttered, in shock by his late realization.
"So you sent her down there to retrieve it?! That's the dumbest thing I've ever fucking heard" Logan howled, his voice crackled in a mixture of worry and frustration.
"I hadn't realized the implications, but I do now. We need to get her out before it's too late" The professor urged, "Hank, return us to the Mansion" he ordered.
Logans rage boiled over, his fists clenched at his sides. "So you're telling me that we're going to leave her down there with Magneto? You're sentencing her to death" He warned.
"We need to regroup and strategize, we need at plan to get back down there without getting killed" Cyclops stepped forward, his voice firm despite the tension.
"Logan, Scott is right" Storm sighed with a hesitation, "We can't just rush back down there, we need to be smart about this."
Logan took a breathe, the frustration still evident through his eyes. "Fine" he grumbled, "but the moment we get back down there I'm finding her. I'm not letting her face this alone."

The ground continued to lower, it was pitch back and all I was able to hear was the mechanical bus of whatever machinery was causing it to lower. Suddenly I heard a clank as, what I could only assume, was the elevator stopping. I stood my shoulders tensed, I tried my best to ease my emotions of fear and caution, readying myself for whatever may arise. Suddenly, the walls raised, and I was in a new room. It was modeled similarly to the halls upstairs, entirely in a blue-toned, penetrable steal.
"Well, it was about time Charles sent his X-Men to find me" A voice echoed with a mixture of amusement and menace, as Magneto stepped out from the shadows.
My breathe hitched and I took an involuntary step backwards in shock as I realized the gravity of the situation. I quickly gathered my composure, maneuvering into a fighting stance. A chuckled arose from the cloaked figure, he voice dripping with menace.
"I won't hurt you, little one. You're the missing piece" he smirked manically.
"I don't know what you're talking about" I replied, my voice steady despite the turmoil within. I continued to hold my ground, preparing myself for battle if necessary.
He feigned a look of shock, he began to take deliberately slow steps forwards, causing me to stiffen involuntarily. "Has Charles really not told you, or had he just not figured it out yet?" he continued, his manic grin widening and he began pacing around me with a predatory grace. "There was a reason we were outside of your home so many weeks ago."
He paused, his gaze fixed on me with a sneer, "You see, the tablets that surrounded the Artifact told us that a strong emotional connection was needed to activate the tablet, although this could be dangerous for any man, but especially those with a typical mind."
Magneto took a step closer, his voice dripping with menace, "So you, my dear will activate the tablet for me. After all I think you owe me after your little trick those many weeks ago."
"And what if I don't?" I spat, my jaw clenching in anger.
Magneto's eyes glinted with a cruel amusement, "Then I suppose I'll have to find another way to make you cooperate, " he said in a cold tone before his eyes darkened, "But trust me when I say you do not want to test my patience."
My tough facade flickered, feeling completely stuck and backed against a wall. What other choice did I have? There was nothing I could do.
