I woke up a little while later to soft chatter. I realized I was still sleeping on the couch with a blanket over me. I sat up a bit straighter, finding my parents there chatting with Thanat, who was awake. He looked tired but definitely awake and a bit more cheery.

"Hey, I am so sorry I fell asleep.."

"Don't be silly, dear. It's ok. We didn't want to disturb, so we waited for you to wake up, but you should go home and sleep. Rest for the night, then come back tomorrow. Thanat's friends are coming over, and they offered to stay over tonight."

My mom told me while coming over. She sat with me and clasped my hands in hers.

"We have to be as normal as we can for him and trust that he will be better. For that, we have to be strong, ok?"

"Those words... sounds so familiar."

"You got a very good colleague, son. Gawin was talking to us before he finally left."

"When did he leave, Pa?"

"He left around 7pm as he has an early morning shoot tomorrow at 3am, but he said he will text you later. How come we have never met him before?"

"We are colleagues, Pa. We haven't really interacted much before this, to be honest."

"He's so sweet then to keep coming and visiting."

I nodded, making a mental note to text Gawin later. My family chased me off to go back to my apartment and catch up on some sleep. I agreed, hugging Thanat softly before I left, making him promise me that he would call or text me if anything. He agreed, and I left.

I left the hospital, feeling the cold air hit against my face. I just nestled the jacket closer around me. I got home an hour later, showered, changed, fixed myself some food and then decided to call Gawin to thank him. It was around 10pm but I guess he was already asleep as he answered the call based on his voice.

"Sorry to bother you, P. Wanted to thank you. Sorry for disturbing your sleep."

"It's ok. Are you home yet? Please do rest."

"Yes, P. I'm home. Will do. Rest well, ok."

Gawin gruffly replied and then hung up. I chuckled softly to myself as to how different he sounded awake and asleep.

The next day, I woke up around 8am. My mom was going back to the hospital for a bit while my dad had to go to the office. He had to sign some documents and then he will make his way to the hospital. They told me to come by in the afternoon as they had some errands to run then. I agreed and then spokec to Thanat for a bit before going for a run.

I came back from a run to find Nanon at my doorstep.

"N...what are you doing here?"

"I came to see you. Bosses had told us you will be off work for a bit. Is everything ok?"

"I.. yea.. I am fine.. it's just Thanat.."

"What happened to him?"

Before I could answer, we heard the screech of a bike. We both turned to see Gawin getting off his bike and coming over with something in his hands. He saw Nanon and was a bit surprised. He just nodded, greeting him politely and looked at me.

"P.. I thought you had filming?"

"I did. But it ended around 7am so I decided to drop off breakfast to you before I went back for the 2nd half."

"You shouldn't have. Such a hassle for you."

"No issues, Ohm. Small thing. We are colleagues, it's ok to look out for one another."

He passed me the food, bade goodbye to Nanon and me and left. Nanon's voice broke me out of my reverie.

"I didn't realize you and P Gawin were that close..."

"Uh..not really. Only recently. He knows what happened to Thanat and he's been there..for us.."

"He knew? He knew before me?"

I looked at Nanon confused. I just muttered, "It's not a competition Nanon."

Nanon just stared at me before walking off, not realizing he never did find out what actually happened to Thanat.

Thought we were close friends, at least we were.

I looked at the food Gawin had gotten me and my heart warmed a bit, thankful that at least I had one other person who stayed despite not having all the answers.
