I knew I shouldn't feel any pain or frustration given that it was not the first time I had been sidelined. But it still stung the same.

I went to meet my manager for some work related stuff, had lunch, and then took my phone out to check my messages and calls. I realized that Ohm had called me a few times, but I knew he must be at a shoot now. I texted him, letting him know I was done with my stuff, and I could come pick him up around 7 pm. when he was done with work.

At 7pm sharp, I waited at the carpark, not wanting to draw unnecessary attention. Ohm came by, and he smiled at me from a mile away upon seeing me. He walked over to me quickly. I smiled and beckoned him into the car. I asked him if he wanted to get dinner, and he declined, saying Auntie had prepared dinner and made sure I was coming along too.

I smiled and assured him that I would join for dinner, too. Once we reached his house, I told him to go on first while I parked the car. However, Ohm turned off the ignition and held onto my hand, saying he wanted to talk.

"What's up, Ohm?" I asked softly.

"I am sorry about today."

"Sorry? For what?"

"About the way you were treated today. It should not have to be that way."

"It's ok, Ohm. I should have been used to it already by now."

Ohm was incredibly silent by this and didn't say anything for a good minute. He then finally looked at me, his eyes a little teary.

"But that should not be the case. And you should not be ok with this. You may not be as popular in their terms, but you have your own set of fans and popularity, too. And even then, being kind to someone should not be based on their popularity."

I was stunned by Ohm's outburst.

"Ohm, where is this coming from.."

"I hate seeing the guy I like being treated like this, P. Like I said, it shouldn't happen to anyone regardless, but when it especially happens to someone I like, it hurts even more. That shouldn't have to be the case."

"The guy you like?" I stuttered out. It was the first thing I had understood and had grasped.

Ohm was the one stunned now. He just looked away from me and mumbled about dinner. I held onto his hand, refusing to let him go. Ohm didn't look at me, but he probably had good reason as his blush was riding up his neck and towards his ears.

I was tickled seeing it but didn't say anything.

"I am not good at standing up for myself. I'm still trying very hard on this."

"But I will. I will not just let you be treated like crap."

I smiled.

"I guess boyfriends are allowed to do that, right?"

"Boyfriends are supposed to do that!"

This time, I couldn't help it. I just burst out laughing. Ohm looked up at me, miffed. I just laughed, leaning in, to caress his cheek.

"Thank you. I will hold you to it then."

Ohm smiled, but his blush was just full blown now.

"Let's go in, Auntie must be waiting for us. I am starving, too, and can't wait to eat her food."

Ohm nodded. He got out and waited for me by the driveway while I went to park the car. Just as I was walking up to him, Nanon came by. I reached Ohm just as Nanon's car drove up, and he climbed out, saying hello to Ohm.

Ohm just nodded. Nanon looked on in surprise when he saw me too.

"P.. you are here?"

"I came for dinner after sending Ohm home."

"I didn't realize you two were so close."

Ohm was about to open his mouth to reply, but I took a stand this time.

"Yes, we are. Abit hard not to when we are seeing each other."

Nanon's mouth fell open at this statement! He was just stunned and he looked at Ohm for confirmation.

But Ohm's blushing face and the way he inched towards me was enough to confirm what I said.

"I see. I didn't realize.. you didn't even tell me Ohm.."

"I could only tell you if we spoke, Nanon. You decided months ago you didn't want to be friends, remember?"

"But..but.."

"You decided some time ago over baseless rumours that those were more important than our friendship. You never came nor was there for me even when things were hard for me. Till today, do you actually know what happened to Thanat? You had so many chances to find out but you never did, did you? I know you well enough Nanon. I know you came by today to welcome me back because you felt threatened by Gawin's presence in my life and wanted to hit him where it will sting. But, to me, that was unnecessary because I know exactly where he stands in my life and me in his. You should go Nanon. Sometimes, friendships cannot be mended back especially if it's for a selfish reason."

Ohm looked at me and all I did was, put my arm around him and brought him to the house. For me, it may be just a causal walk to the house and the start of our relationship but to Ohm, it was a little more painful as he finally said goodbye to a relationship that had plagued him for some time.

I knew he needed someone by his side and I firmly planned to do just that.
