Loud bells ring loudly in his ears making him groan and pull the dark silk covers over his head. Yet he couldn't fully ignore the bells and growls grabbing the clock on the dark wooden nightstand table and tosses it on the dark red painted wall. The metal parts scattered across the wall and rain on the floor killing its ring. The clocks killer lays back down in the large king size mattress, slowly slipping away back into his peaceful slumber. Until a knock on his door makes him groan and hears the click of the knob turning. The door opens with a light creek and a purple female swallow enters with a tray of food. She looks over at the broken clock and shook her head before placing the tray on the dark wooden coffee table. "Good morning Prince Shadow. Broken another alarm clock I see?" She said walking over to the broken clock. He groans as she knelt down and started to pick up the metal pieces. "I'll take that as a yes, now please get up and eat before your breakfast gets cold." She said sternly still picking the pieces up. Shadow growls and tossed the sheets off his body making the warmth go away. His bare feet walk on the slightly cold grey marble floor to the dark silk couch. He looks at the dinner dome and sighed as he sat down and pulled the dome away. There on the plate was a small stack of blackberry pancakes, a side of juicy steak strips, and fluffy scrambled eggs. To the side of the plate was a cup of freshly brewed coffee, a small jar of syrup and his fork and knife. Shadow goes for the coffee and smells the hot dark liquid before taking a sip. "Coffee to your liking your highness?" She asked holding the broken clock in her hands looking down at him. He looks up seeing her standing there. "Yes wave thank you..." he said and waved his hand sending her off. She bows and leaves his room while he enjoys the warmth of the meal.
Shadow pats the napkin to the sides of his mouth before placing it on his plate as he got up to take a shower. He walks into the dark theme bathroom and pulls off his shirt as he walks to the shower door. Then his pants and underwear dropped and was kicked to the side as he got to the door. He slides the blurry glass then steps in closing it behind him. He turns the knobs to the temperature he desired and felt the water rushing down his body. The hedgehog prince washes his solid black and red stripe quills along with his fluffy white chest fur on his feminine six pack body. If there are four places Shadow enjoys being in, is his bedroom in bed, the shower, his deep well jacuzzi tub and the library. All the places he can be alone in peace. Shadow turns the knobs shutting off the water and the water drips down his body as he grabs a towel from the rack. He dries his himself off walking to his closet and tossed the towel into the bin of the walk in closet as his naked self scanned the racks of clothes. He grabs a pair of boxer briefs from the drawer and slips them on. He walks over to the rack of pants then pulls a pair dark jeans then puts them on. Then he walks to the shirts and picks out a dark red button shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbow. He slips it on and tucks the bottom in his jeans then finishes it off with a black belt and black shoes. He looks in the mirror brushing back his fur and smile before leaving the closet. His ears perked once he closed the closet door and turned seeing his phone going off on the nightstand. The heels of his shoes softly click as he walked to the nightstand and picked it up looking at the screen. A smile creeped on his face seeing it was his love Rouge. He taps the text notification and sees an invitation to a party she was throwing. He quickly replied saying he will attend and puts the phone in his pocket. "Prince shadow?" Wave said. "Yes wave?" He replied. "Your parents wish to speak with you and your brothers." She said and he sighed. "Alright" he said and left his room.

Shadow walks down the bright ivory halls  with portraits of past rulers and royal family members leading to two large double doors. The two guards open the doors and Shadow walks through approaching a male green hedgehog with black stripes and red eyes, a female solid red hedgehog with stunning teal eyes, a male solid green hedgehog with teal eyes and a male black and green stripe hedgehog with teal eyes. "Morning father, mother, Scourge, Darius." He said. "Good morning our youngest son." His mother smiled with kind grace. "Now the reason we summon you boys here is updates on finding a spouse." Their father said kindly. "I being your heir and next in line would like to proudly announce that I will be proposing to my dear Fiona next week." Scourge said. "Excellent" thier father said proudly then looks at the other two sons. "I have begun courting Princess Crystal of the starlight kingdom." Darius smiled. "Wonderful" he replied proudly then looks at shadow. "And what is new with you and rouge?" He asked not to happy of his choice of princess. "I am meeting her tonight for another gathering." He said and his father sighed. "If it's another party just be careful and maybe find a new woman or man to court." His father said. "Look I know you despise Rouge but I love her why can't you se—" "Because she is bad news Shadow and one day you will see that." His father snapped. "Dismissed" he said and the three princes leave. "Father seriously has no idea what he is talking about" Shadow thought heading to the library.

He has no idea how right his father really was.
