Discharged

Shadow slowly wakes up and sighs after dreaming of dancing with the mysterious figure ends once more. Yet he noticed how his hospital room was starting to fill up with flowers and get well cards. "My how sweet" his mother smiled looking at everything. "Oh you got one from your cousin Sonic and his husband Silver." She said reading the card. Shadow appreciates the gifts and calls his cousin who was very happy to hear from him and made plans to meet for lunch once he was discharged. "Well my my I didn't know you were this popular my son." His father said walking in and hugs his son. "I'm just as surprised." He replied and the nurse walks in with his food. "Thank you Lilly" he said. "Of course sir" she smiled and leaves. "Well I got good news Rouge and her associates are staying in jail with no bond until the trail but our lawyer said we got an open and shut case." His father said. "Wouldn't it be easier if you just found them guilty?" Shadow asked. "If we were in the 18th century yes. But we live in the 21st and we can be held accountable too under our laws." He said and shadow nods and continues to eat the bland but warm meal. "Excuse me but we have another flower delivery." Nurse Lilly said walking in with a big bouquet of long black stem dark red roses in a black and red swirled vase. "Oh my goodness who sent those?" His mother said shocked. Darius and Scourge were even shocked seeing this as well as their father. Nurse Lilly takes the card and hands it to shadow before setting the roses near him. Shadow reads the card and smiled.

Shadow felt his heart sore seeing his mysterious person send him his favorite flowers and get well card. "Shadow who's it from?" His father asked. "I don't got a name but it's from the person who saved me." He replied. "Well now I really want to find this person and personally thank him or her." His father said. "I agree" his mother smiled. "Same here" his brothers chimed in.
Later on shadow lays in his hospital room alone watching tv and sipping on water. He looks back over to the roses and pulled one from the vase. He smiled holding it and smells it sweet pedals making him smile. He pulls the rose away from his nose and brush the tips of his fingers on the soft pedals. He was truly falling in love with this person and wants to figure out its identity. He picks up the remote and hits the off button then pressed the light button to dim the lights. He lowered his bed and curls up before falling asleep with the rose in his hand. As he slept peacefully a the figure appeared out of the shadowy corner and walks to his bed. It caressed his face in a loving way and admires shadow as he slept. It leaned over and plants a kiss on his sleeping head while tracing its finger on shadow's soft lips. Its fingers soon caress softly under his chin before hearing the night nurse coming and vanishes just as she opened the door. She smiled seeing shadow sleeping with the rose in his hand and leaves the room.
A week goes by and Shadow is finally discharged from the hospital and called his cousin to meet up at their favorite sushi place. His brother Darius pulled up and the two went to the restaurant.
"So let me get this straight you have absolutely no idea who this person is and your falling for him or her?" A blue hedgehog with green eyes asked. "It's crazy sonic but I can't stop thinking of this person." Shadow said sipping on his plum wine. "Well maybe you just love this person for the heroics?" A white hedgehog with golden eyes said. "Well actually Silver this person sent him gifts all week. Here wearing one of them now." Darius said. Shadow smiled and takes the broach off his shirt then gives it to sonic and silver looks over his shoulder at it too. "Damn this is a really nice gift. Isn't this what you wanted for Christmas last year?" Sonic asked. "Yes it is. My favorite was the persons first gift which was the long black stem roses" shadow smiled. "Wow...." They both said. "Yeah I'm starting to think his hero is becoming a not so secret admirer" Darius smirked and Shadoe rolled his eyes as Sonic gave back the broach. "Well with gifts like that I'd say so." Silver said. "I just want to find out who this person is... personally thank them and maybe.... See if they want to go out..." shadow blushed a little. "Careful shadow you might be acting on rebound love." Sonic said. "It's not that this time.... Rouge was my rebound after Lance left me for another man. This time the feeling is different and frankly I like this feeling a lot." He smiled. "Does he smile thinking about this person?" Sonic asked and Darius nods. "Shadow do you have dreams of this person?" "Every night. We would dance." He smiled. Sonic  stood up and leaned over the table then looks into his cousins eyes closer. He squinted his emerald eyes looking deep in ruby eyes. "Oh yeah he's definitely in love." He said sitting back down. "Well then looks like we're on a quest for Shadows mysteriously lover." Silver smiled. "Scourge and I were thinking the same thing." Darius chuckled. "Guys seriously?" Shadow said. "Yep!" The three laughs and shadow chuckled shaking his head. Shadows smiling image fades into a floating orb surrounded by red smoke and red crystals. "Is that him master?" A female voice said as the same hand caressed shadows face. A male voice chuckled lowly as the shadowy face exposed a grin.
