Ball preparation

Shadow groans as he turns over and heard the soft purring making him wake up. His ruby eyes look into light blue ones as a grey tails waves behind the cat. "Morning Sky." He said and Sky meows and rubs her head on his cheek. "Ok ok" he said petting the cat as he gets up. Sky jumps down from the bed as she follows shadow to the small convent. He opens the doors and grabs the small scoop of cat food before putting it in a bowl next to it. Sky jumps up and starts eating as he placed the scoop back. "Oh good morning your highness" Wave said bringing in his breakfast. "Morning wave. Do you have sky's nutrition milk?" He asked and she nods handing him the small silver teapot. "Thank you" he said and pours the milk in another bowl. "So what is on the agenda today wave?" He asked sipping his coffee. "Oh yes well you have that opening ceremony for the new school for the blind." "What time is the ceremony?" "Noon sir" she said. "Alright continue" he said. "Well there is also the meeting with your parents about your 21st birthday ball coming up sir." She said and Sky's ear flick hearing this before her eyes glowed out of sight of shadow and wave. "Right it's next week now isn't it?" Shadow asked. "Technically in four days" she replied and he sighed. "Has a month already passed?" He said in disbelief. "Yes sire" she said. "Ok well thank you wave. Go on and go now" he smiled and she bows before leaving. Sky hops down from her feeding post and strolls over to shadow as he finishes his meal. She hops on the couch and to him as he finishes his coffee. She meows and he smiles setting the mug down. "Can I tell you a secret?" He smirked and she tilts her head purring. He chuckled and picks her up petting her as she purred more. "What I want for my birthday is to meet and talk to the person who saved me. Who knows maybe I'll see that person at the ball. It is an open invitation after all." He said and put Sky down. She looks at him purring as she sat down and he grips the pole of his canopy bed. He looks at sky and sighs looking down. "Maybe I'm just being silly.... I mean the gifts stopped coming, my brothers or cousin and his husband couldn't find this person... what do you think? Am I being silly?" He asked and Sky shook her head. "Thanks Sky" he smiled and checks his phone. "Well I got to go you be a good kitty." He said and leaves. Sky's eyes glowed once more and what she sees fades the orb once more. The dark figure smiles and rose from his throne before walking down a hallway decorated with black and dark red interior. The heels of his boots echos a deep click as he approached ruby color double doors. He waved his glowing red hand making the doors open and he enters a bedroom decorated all in black but elegant.

He approached the closet and waved his hand once more opening the doors. "Now to find the perfect outfit for his ball. I mean I don't want to disappoint my sweet prince by not granting his wish~" he laughs and it echos down the hall.

Shadow looks out at the trees and buildings passing by as he left the ceremony. Of course it went smoothly like always but he felt lonely as his brothers stood with their spouses. He sighed hoping he'll find genuine love like they did. The car finally arrived at his home and he immediately heads to the meeting room where his parents waited with the party coordinator. "Shadow sweetie how was the opening ceremony?" His mother asked. "It went well as usual mother" he said and sat down. "Excellent now your party is in four days and we have yet to have a theme." His father points out. "Oh ummm well I never really experienced or been to a masked ball." He said. "Then I shall make it the best one" the party coordinator said. Shadow smiled and thanked her before getting up and heads back to his room. "Sky I'm back" he said and the little grey cat rubs up on his legs making him smile. He walks over and feeds her again before getting a knock on the door. "Hello your highness I have brought you some masks to look at for your party." The butler smiled. "Wow Vanilla doesn't waste time does she?" He chuckled. "No she doesn't sir" the white croc chuckled. "Well thank you Charles" he smiled and opens the box. Charles bows and leaves the room while shadow looks through the masks. Sky jumps on the bed and curiously looks in the box seeing the masks. "I'm having a masked ball so I got to wear one of these." He said and sky played with a feathered one making him laugh. He picks up a dark gold one and a ruby one with diamonds around it.

He held them up making sky look at him. "Which one do you think?" He smirked and the cat's head looks at the dark gold one. "I agree" he smile as sky goes back to playing with a feather mask. He chuckles and lets her keep it while placing his choice in the drawer and leaving the room to return the box to Charles.
