"So knuckles I must ask what do you do for a living?" Xavier asked as they sat at the table enjoying the soup course. "Well I run a business that grants people the ability to make their wishes and dreams come true. It's been very profitable and very successful." He said and Maria tensed up before taking a sip of her soup. "Sounds very promising and where do you live?" "I live in cliffside manor and mansions. That was how I came across Shadow and saw what happened. I was going for a night jog which cuts through her area and heard then saw everything." He explained. "Well once again we appreciate you saving our boy." Xavier praised. "You're very welcome" he smiled and sips his wine. "I must say shadow you found yourself quite a match" "Thank you, father." Shadow said finishing his soup. "Maria are you alright you haven't spoken a word since we got to the table." Xavier asked. "Well I time to talk to him while you and shadow were gone so I thought you could have that same thing." She smiled. "Make sense my love" he kisses her hand. "So knuckles are you alright staying the night?" Xavier asked. "Tomorrow we are having brunch with Scourges bride to be with Darius's spouse and would love it if you joined us." Xavier asked. "I would love too" Knuckles said. "You don't mind cats do you?" Shadow asked. "I love them" knuckles smiled. "Good because I'm not sure if you remember but I have a cat." He said. "Her name is Sky right?" He asked and shadow nods. "Yes I remember. Can't wait to meet the little thing." Knuckles said making shadow smile.
Later on shadow and Knuckles walks into his room where sky rubs on shadows legs. "She's adorable" knuckles said as Shadow picks her up. "Yeah" he agreed and knuckles pets her. Sky jumps into knuckles arms making him chuckle. "Wow she warmed up to you quickly" he said. "What can I say" he smiled and puts her down. She runs to her cat bed and curls up. "Well ummm let me get you some sleep wear." Shadow said walking to the closet. "Oh no need shadow~" he said and shadow turns around then jumps back. "Wow you're fast~" he blushed. "Yes I am. Now I don't need sleepwear especially after what I have in store for you~" he growled and shadow was instantly turned on. "Oh ok~"

Maria lays in bed while Xavier snores next to her. She looks at the alram clock and sees it was midnight and gets up from her bed. She throw on her slippers and silk robe before walking down the darkened halls of the castle. Once she approached shadows room she quietly opened the door to peak in. There she saw her son peacefully asleep while Knuckles was still up. She watched as his eyes glowed and lovingly caressed her son's sleeping face and kiss ed his forehead. "My sweet prince how you truly captured my heart~" he said and kissed his cheek before holding him close and drifted off to sleep. Maria quietly closed the door and walks back to her room.

"Maybe he was telling the truth after all... but Xavier and my boys can never ever know about our deal..."
